@@manuondetatu kirishima and bakugo actually which is ironic because in a way Enji has aspects of both characters the difference is Enji is the cautionary tale of what a Warrior archetype can be if the Hero falls into one of their shadows the martyr who risks everything for what they believe at the cost of something important such as batman, or when Spider-man tried to kill Goblin, or in Enji's case the soldier. An archetype where just like the warrior or martyr he's pushing his limits, and his will until eventually it breaks him because he's not allowing himself to show his pain externally.

The audacity of picking up the 2 most generic super powers in mainstream comics, fire and super strength... And just write great characters using them as bases. That defines a legit talent, the bnha author has potential to be the next Inoue.
I never thought about that, but It is true that both Endeavor And All Might have the most generic superpowers. Both use it in really cool ways and they also are great characters
Endeavour doesn't have super strength. Also all might has a very unique power, one that is not just strength but of multiple powers and is technically 2 great quirks.
But Endeavour shows the strength of an engulfing flame
While all might is the ability to push ones self to become stronger
All Might is supposed to be the iconic super-hero trope. And then his character gets developed and the archetype falls apart as the story progresses, which is what makes him so much more interesting and shows a more 'realistic' struggle for someone in that position.

Endeavour dosent have super strength .... It appears he has it cuz when he punches he throws a jet stream of fire which pushes the enemies away.
This actually shows that Endeavor, at one point in his life, had a genuine spirit of heroism. But in his desire to surpass All Might, he lost his way.
he didn't just lose his way, he made a u turn and destroyed the GPS. Marrying a woman specifically for her quirk, and making said marriage happen by basically buying out her family, and THEN abusing both her AND your kids emotionally and physically(we know that he hit his wife when she objected to his strenuous training of Shoto) all in an effort to produce a hero who can surpass All Might - that's not just misguided, it's obsessive and borderline psychotic.

ABCZ ZC the latest episode out of Japan suggests otherwise. His inner monologue discusses his weakness to overheating, and says “that’s why...” before shifting to images of his wife and children. Maybe he truly did care for her on some level, or maybe it was all an act. Either way, her quirk was the main reason he married her.

I know that Season 4 just dropped and all BUT for all of us manga readers, when Season 5 hits Endeavor's fight MUST have this one playing.

I suspect they will use a "remix" of this track, one that is sort of "upgraded" now that Endeavor is the Number One Hero instead of Number Two.

Endeavor has a LONG way to go before he can be forgiven for everything that he's done to his family. But knowing him... he'll give it his all. He's not one to take half measures in ANYTHING - it's all in his name. That is both his greatest strength, and his greatest weakness. This theme... perhaps one day he truly will be worthy of it. We'll see.

I will forgive Endeavor if Shoto forgives him but you can't deny that as a hero he is pretty badass
Maybe I'm a bit too forgiving a person myself, but I've already started to forgive him, since he's making an honest effort to atone for his mistakes, and even his hospitalized wife stood up for him. After seeing Enji have the guts to admit to his faults and try to atone, I'm very willing to be optimistic and give him a chance. But yeah, Shoto forgiving him (as well as his wife) will be what seals the deal for me as well.
I would like nothing more than to eventually see the Todoroki family reunited as a real family, complete with both Enji and his wife being there with all of their kids.

tbh I don't really care if I forgave him or not... After all, he did nothing to me :D. I love to watch his character struggle with his actions and how he can be a better father, for the last year and a half this has been the parts of MHA I by far enjoy watching the most, and am always eager to see more of. At this point I'd be perfectly happy, if we discontinue this whole 'Deku/Allmight-Succession'-story, and just get a Todoroki-family-story. (Which of course will never happen and I won't complain, just wanted to point out how much I enjoy watching this character). It's a difficult struggle for Enji, which means he has to try very hard, be patient and that makes it all the more emotional and exciting for me to watch. At this point, he is far and removed my favorite character. I find there's something oddly cathartic in watching him go his way.
So I don't really care about whether or not I forgive him or not, or anybody really. In the end, I don't really think it is about forgiving, tbh. Of course this is the end goal, this is what Enji wants to achieve (to have his children and wife forgive him), but to me, it's all about the journey there. In the end, I think no matter what somebody did (even if it were something utterly unforgivable like mass-murder) realizing one's mistake and trying to do better, should always be recommended no matter if at the end of the day it's enough to make up for their sins or not.

No? He has solved more cases but not saved more lives, infact while Endeavor does take his job serious enough to save people I think he'd probably prioritise catching villains. Also, All might scares criminals off the streets, his presence alone has defeated more criminals and saved more lives than endeavor.

I find Endeavor to be the most interesting character. He represents (for me) the undying will to fight against, to struggle.

Probably the best episode in the season, for me It's the best in the entire anime. Endeavor proved himself in this fight.

He wasnt saying Endeavor is weak, he was saying Endeavor has a weakness, and that weakness is that his power isnt good enough for him and also that he is naturally inclined to be evil, but wants to be a hero despite it all.
He wants to be allmight, but he recognizes his weakness that will keep him from ever becoming allmight: he isnt cut out to be the symbol of peace, he cant smile in the face of danger and sorrow.

12/7 Clapper true but his fire might be as strong as his father’s and todoroki never fully masterd his fire yet
Dabi is what we could call a 'glass cannon' - he's really strong but super vulnerable at the same time, I also doubt that he has a good control over his own quirk, even though it is rather powerfull (well, it's a blue fire, that usually means it's stronger than normal one).
This themes gonna have a whole other demonstration in Season 5.
He might get you say run for that.

Endeavour's theme makes him sound that he became a hero for the right reasons but his need to be the absolute best and not be the "dropout and coward" that he once viewed himself turned him into an abusive monster. Now, he's trying to repent and be a true hero for not only the people, who need hope after All Might's retirement, but also for his family, the people that he realised mean more to him than being his "masterpiece" or "failures" or "having the opposite elemental quirk to me equals very strong children".
Maybe the guy is a lot more interesting than we first thought.
He is currently my fav Character in MHA (as an upto date with latest Chapter Manga Reader)
Endeavor's honestly becoming a favorite of mine, his character development really helped me see him in a different way

Endeavor may have been a horrible person in his personal life in his younger years, but the fact he's recognised that and actually admitted his mistakes is why he's one of my favourite characters in MHA. He made the mistakes that he knows he can never take back or apologise for, but he carries on trying to better himself and improve in every aspect of his life no matter what.

Yep. The fact that he's owning up to his mistakes and trying to atone is definitely worthy of respect. Of course, I suspected there was more to Endeavor than what was shown up to that point when his wife actually stood up for him and defended him when Natsu started to bad-mouth Enji to her face. The fact that she would defend Enji despite the fact that she was in the hospital *because* of him spoke volumes to me that Enji very well might have meant well, but he simply let his ambition and one-sided rivalry with All Might cloud his judgment.
So many people would try to shift the blame or just give up on reconciling, but Enji isn't the sort to give up on anything, no matter how hard or painful it might be for him, and that's a respectable and admirable quality.
He knows he can’t be redeemed, all he can do now is his best.

Endeavor's honestly growing on me, I used to hate him, especially during the Sports Festival when Shouto used his flames against Deku and he went on about his son's purpose, for existing, pretty much. But I feel bad for him now.
Rei and Fuyumi have forgiven him, and Shouto says he may never forgive his father, but Endeavor's trying, and I really hope Shouto and Natsuo at least open up to him more. He's really trying to change, and I hope everything gets better for the Todorokis.
Endeavor's unironically a better dad than Goku, I mean if you live in either the DBZ or MHA universe and you don't train your sons brutally then you've failed as a father. Those two universes (DBZ/MHA) are very dangerous, living in either one of them it's like living during the WW1 era.

Something I think some people need to understand.
Is that all people make mistakes. Some very serious, some not. What matters is that he finally sees the errors of his ways and is TRYING to make them right- putting his own life in serious danger to do so.
I’d like to see someone that complains about this chance at redemption willingly throw themselves in front of a bullet for their own mistakes like he has.

If someone had told me when I started this series that Endeavor would become one of the best characters I would have called them crazy.
Endeavior went from kind of villain to the new symbole of peace (at least in the fanbase) and i am proud of him,he really tries, specially with chapter 290 lol anime only don't worry you'll know what i am talking about in 2 years lol.
