It looked liked her grandma Queen Leah was more influential in Audrey’s relationship with Ben and her upbringing more than what Aurora and Phillip were and that Queen Leah raised Audrey as she missed on Aurora’s life Also that cycle of what Maleficent did to Aurora and Philip reflected onto their children. It would also appear that that Audrey and Ben’s marriage was arranged as children.

What's funny about that movie is that the genetics made no sense because Prince Charming's mother was Whoopie Goldberg and the father was freaking Victor Garber! Black mom and white dad producing an asian kid lol! Disney just thought it would be fun to bring Brandy and Paolo back to essentially reprise their roles and continue the super weird genetic line.
