    Another great video Gary! I certainly appreciate the professionalism that you showed while working around that baby pine tree instead of just tearing it out. Very well done! You're a true pro prospector!

    Hello and thank you for the great videos. I use to live in Chico and fight fires there in your neck of the woods. I can tell you I am aware of how rough brushy and steep that area is. I have since moved to Idaho but still enjoy watching your videos. Thanks again and good luck in your adventures this year.

    Been enjoying your videos here in Iowa winter wonderland. I’m with ya on cabin fever. I think the plier tool is a horse shoe pliers. The broken jaw would have been a curved jaw with serrations to grip and cinch horse shoe nails. It also has a small hammer head.

    I don't know why but finding relics hunting these days does little for me. I know a few places of unlisted mines with cabins I'm sure collapsed by now i know are loaded with stuff. One in particular had a 10ga shotgun still parked behind the front and only door and gold pans protected with bear grease with bits of fur still in it in an old round hat box and all handmade furniture included a twinish size bed full of straw wrapped with ship canvas, but, that was in 71' and dry as a bone inside. I went back there last week after 3 days of brush busting to find it, the cabins still there but a tree has fallen on it, still full of stuff mostly rotten now from the rain and snow. One odd thing I did find there with a blue box Whites was a 40mm Bofors HE round in the split rail corral of 20x20' or so around 76'.

      Most of it was very steep the rest was stupid steep! The good news - you couldn't fall because the brush was so thick! And to show you how smart I am, I have plans to go back. Thank you very much!

    watching that just makes me want to get back out west to my favourite creek , last time I went I only panned about 0.01 grams and a lot of black sand but the day was beautiful like yours, and that was gold anyway , but I took the black sand ,about 3 pound, crushed it up with a mortar and pestle ,took out the magnetite with a magnet, soaked it in water and borax for about 4 days ,and panned it out 1 tablespoon at a time ,and low and behold ,first tablespoon 18 micron pieces of gold , at least the size of a grain of salt , and much the same everyone after that ,so something to do in your down time when you cant get out ,that's getting really desperate hey , ha ha, your beer cans were awesome ,I wish I could find em like that ,anyway good to catch up on what your doing ,cheers , from down under.

    You said your eyes weren't good enough to read the back of the shot gun shell, so that leads me to the question of the same problem I have, how do you solve the problem of seeing small gold through your mask when crevicing under water?

    • @TwoToes
      @TwoToes  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      When looking threw water, objects appear 33% larger. That helps a bunch as you get older and your eyes change.

      I ended up buying the Garrett AT Gold after lots of research and on your advise of getting something at 18 khz or better. I wanted something that was fully waterproof so I could search the river bedrock and not have to worry about submerging it and Garrett had the only water proof one out there at 18khz. Anyway thanks again and I will post lots of videos when I get some more made. I will include my shot at underwater sniping that I learned from you so when you see it school me on what I was doing wrong. LOL. Enjoy the warmer months ahead and I look forward to more of your videos.

    How did the name two Toes with the mountain goat come about? Is it because of a cloven hoof? Or cause you climb like a goat? Respectfully an Old Goat! Lol. I envy where you live, really do. You have the climb like a goat right! The site was setup originally by my son as a 4 wheel drive rock climbing site. You see his Jeep at the beginning of each video. Last year he was blessed with twin girls, he has been kinda busy! He talked me into making prospecting video and putting the on the site - the rest is history. Lol I'm still doing that clocking in thing myself. Thanks for the support - Gary
