We rode there on Sunday. I cant believe how badly the trail surface has worn away! 90% is like riding on cobbles and shake the hell out of you. just not fun any more! and the gully is no more, Im sure there must be some really cool local stuff hidden away. Lets hope they dont get the same building treatment as the jest.
even worse 3 years on from your comment. Jump gully has been filled in, theres about 5 red trails and a couple blue thats any fun now. In the winter the surface is all compacted gravel so its like riding on marbles in the wet. New skills bit is off limits most of the time. Even on babymaker which is unrecognisable from a few years back people only ride half of it. Have to hand it to the people that spend time and effort repairing it and rebuilding it but it gets damaged faster than they can repair the place.
The good: Amazing amount of trails in a small area. They've really worked at it. The bad: Crowded, mostly flat, carpark full of Freds and expensive, sh1t food, crowded, crowded, bracknell, m25,
I live about a 15 min ride from the Babymaker (Wilkins Leap track), and have been going up to swinley for about 9 years now. Been crashing there almost that long too... #RIPJumpGully
MikeThe Player they’re ok. I’m a local so I know it well. There’s a lot of boring sections that are best missed out, which will be difficult to know where and how if you’ve not been or aren’t going with someone who knows. Theres a few good marked trails but the best bits are off piste...
except- there aren't really any decent hills- i think its more about the population density and also, any even half decent sized bit of forest in the uk usually gets this treatment now :)
Talus20 Do you mean that the trails are actually I'll? ! Surely an inanimate object cannot become sick or I'll. How about inventing a new word for something which is brilliant, superb, amazing, fantastic, excellent, awesome, stupendous , spellbinding etc etc, instead of using an existing word to try to make it mean almost the opposite of what it actually means.
Luke Wanden What about my point? Don't you think it's stupid to totally reverse the meaning of a word and just follow on with the herd by using it, instead of coming up with a new word? There is such a thing as having your own mind and being an individual, you know. As a contender for UK pedant of the year, I feel the need to point out that you should have used a full -stop after 'knob' and started a new sentence, or used the conjunction 'and' inbetween.
The only problem I have had at Swinley are the twats who shout at you if you aren't travelling as fast as them and demand you go home because they think they own the place. I just go even slower. Tremendous fun. I'm sure half of them get 'roid rage.
DUFF 194 MX thanks for the heads up, just got into mountain biking myself so not sure if I’ll be hitting any of the big stuff yet. Gonna go in a few weeks, can’t wait!
How is this park for someone who isnt at a very high level yet? Im pretty confident on most features except burms and jumps, could probably do these trails but i would be quite slow.
You'll be fine. The blue trail has some really fun bits and is confidence building. And you'll hear if someone wants to get past, just pull over or go to the edge awhile
WTF has happened to the jump gulley? Someone should be shot for filling that in. What's more they built a fucking crazy free ride track way more deadly with 9ft gap jumps with no room for fuck ups. Still love Swinners
Team crap sheep And before they'd finished the new jump area they chained off all the actual jumps and it's still like that! So weird that they even built it at all- Especially as the reason they filled in the gully was because of the injuries and fear of litigation.

This is my local, would seriously recommend it. Even if you ride at high level the "baby maker" trail is good for intense action !
LLama Horizon is this a good track to ride even if you are a novice rider?
+Ali Lovell yes
+LLama Horizon Is there decent dh trails there? Don't have an endure bike:(
yh
Jack Aldred there are a couple of very short runs, it not worth driving further than 10 mins for imo as the area is very flat
I've been there! I crashed into a tree :(
Need to get back to Swinley, haven't been there for years
My mate broke his wrist on the blue trail yesterday, they need to re surface the banked corners a bit
Looks awesome. Can't wait to test out my new cube analogue there on sat :)

What track is 3:08 onwards? Cheers for any info
It was called 'gully' but it has been destroyed now by the crown estate due to too many injuries
@@skateboarding_is_fun how is it nowadays? i live a 1h ride from it and i am intrigued to go.

@@skateboarding_is_fun where is the jump bit at swinley ?

Anyone else done the 20ft gap jump at swinley, ? It's quite hard to find though!
Could you tell me where it is? I go to swinley often, have heard of it, never seen it!
+Daniel Morris near the M4
+Peter Fleming near the M4??? Thats not Swinley?
+Daniel Morris Swinley is near Bracknell, Bracknell is near the M4
Where do u go first
How much is it to ride there
Me and my dad go there and I go the blue then red but we ride there and ride back then I walk upstairs and jump on my bed then pass out
why is there so many sick trails down south?
except- there aren't really any decent hills- i think its more about the population density and also, any even half decent sized bit of forest in the uk usually gets this treatment now :)

Come off it you knob, don't be such a pedant.

Kelvin Foote the word ill is an invention word of how good things are, like sick. What new words do u want fantabbiedosie ?
how is this for beginners?
We know where the MTB capital is and it's a bit further around the corner to the east.... :-)
jazzraspberry can u tell me then delete it so no one else sees ? 😂
Surry Hill’s.
Surrey Hills trails used to be good, but now overcrowded. Peaslake is ruined.
Rogate is the south trail king🤘🏽
how many people are there normally ?
A few hundred but it's so big so u don't really bump into people

can you take the train here from london?
Best option is to get a train to Martins Heron, then it's a 15ish minute ride up the road to The Look Out car park where you can start the trails
where is the gully
Where abouts are these trails

I’ve been there
DUFF 194 MX is it any good? Planning on going soon but all the recent comments on here seem to be negative
Martyrdon I like the track it’s so fun but I only did intermediate and novice track but the main pro one looks awesome fun 👍

Callum Barker
Baby maker
Sometimes life can be very cruel.
It's crap , unless you like riding on cobblestones and annoying people who think they're fast
This terrain is too flat. Where's the steep downhill and big jumps?
Liam Harper in Aston Hills

Team crap sheep 9ft ? 😂😂😂
Guesstimate

maybe somebody going to here by car from Southend on sea? I would be so happy if somebody bring me in this MTB heaven. pleeeeeeease
RAD :D:D:D:D
Probably the most boring trails in the UK. Great for fitness though 💪
Jim 86 Babymaker? Formula1? Red 15?
