- This ultra-cheap, easy to make and yet very effective DIY bait drop catches fish!
This is perfect if you want to use a DJI Phantom 3 drone for surfcasting.
You need nothing more than a few chopsticks, pliers, cable ties, and glue. We live in tough financial times and dedicated fishing drones are quite expensive.
So what if you could drone fish for very little money by purchasing a second-hand DJI Phantom drone and making your own bait drop?
This release is great for three reasons.
1. It is ultra cheap
2. It can be made anywhere with minimal tools
3. It catches fish

cheers, yeah no need for another drone if you have a phantom. These things are great for the job. I've been fishing with mine for over 5 years now on the same two batteries. But one battery is finally about to be replaced.

Have you any recommendations for cheap and efftive electronic release options?
I bought a cheap electronic release years ago on ebay. It didn't last long. A better option is a gannet tension release. You should be able to order them online.

Do you think this is okay to use for shark fishing? I have a phantom 3 as well. I plan on targeting 3ft-5ft sharks.
yeah sure, just depends on the size of bait you're using. If you rig and bait weighs less than 800 grams then no problem

I'm going to try doing this with a wire hanger instead of chopsticks. Just bend it into the right shape. no need for glue.
yeah that's possible as well. It's heavier and the metal could interfere with the compass. That's why I prefer either wood or plastic for the frame. But let us know how it goes.

Hi Sevendoors, Sorry I have no idea how you would buy one in Saudi Arabia as I have never been there.
Maybe look for a drone online, try first with a second hand one and make your own release like Mark.

@@akauto2900 oh right you are mechanic ,so you would know how to fark a good car then .all my merc's i own i buy cheap as mechanic's don't know how to fix them or quote mega thousands for faults they claim are causing the problem i came along get a snip & fix the car in a matter of minutes in most cases & for between $50-$200 bucks .Mechanics these days work backwards they go for the worst cases scenario every time can't understand start with the easy stuff first then work ya way threw they are trying to reinvent the wheel ,i have never used a mechanic in my life i wouldn't let one touch my lawnmower im my own mechanic & i blow the whole of you's out the water been doing it for 53 years ,,merc's are great cars full stop..
