Excellent sculptures but i didn't understand what did you used to harden the clay.?I'm interested because I'm using chavant clay, i want to paint it but i can't.
The clay isn't hardened. I used the hard version, which gets really hard on its own. I clear coated it and primed it then painted it. So the clay is still "soft" but it is strong enough to sit on a shelf. Thanks for watching!!!!
@@CMPLFixes So your sense is you can use monster clay for finished pieces? You would be comfortable selling a piece made in monster clay as a finished sculpture?
@@phlattgetit I have talked to a few people that have used monster clay for years, and have rooms full of painted and unpainted monster clay sculptures. The clay holds up fine, and if at a later date you want to make a mold of it, then it is very easy to do so. About selling them. No I wouldn't sell them. Nor would I sell them if they were made of sculpey. The monster clay would probably hold up better than sculpey in shipping to be honest, but both sculpey and monster clay are not "finished" sculptures to me. The sculpey is to brittle, and it cracks over time and so on. But for yourself, monster clay and sculpey are great. Like I said above you can go back and make molds very easily at a later date with monster clay, and that is what I want to do. So for me, this clay is perfect at the moment. He used floral wire. The hardware stores also sell galvanized steel in many gauges - that stuff is my favorite for cost and quality.

I got a challenge for you have you ever thought of making the bone armour shark off maneater the game.

He sealed it with a gloss coat sealer before the paint.
The clay isn't hardened. I used the hard version, which gets really hard on its own. I clear coated it and primed it then painted it. So the clay is still "soft" but it is strong enough to sit on a shelf. Thanks for watching!!!!
