Great video, I hope you are going to do one n the grid resolution setting, as I haven’t yet discovered / took the time to learn how that works.

I’ve been enjoying your Move videos since you got one. I noticed in the first video that it suffered from quite bad flickering on the OLED and the pad lights, which seems to have improved but not fully got better in your last two videos. I’ve been pondering this. I think you shot your first video in 60p and the subsequent ones in 24p (possibly to try to alleviate the issue). I think Ableton is a European company and as such originates from a country with 50Hz power supply. It’s possible they’ve spec’d the Move to a 50Hz refresh rate. If that’s the case you may have success by recording your video at 25p or 50p then conforming it to 24p in post processing either by slowing it down a touch or getting your video editing software to do it’s magic. You might also need to play with different shutter speeds to fully remove the flicker. It’s also possible that you’ve got lighting running at 60Hz which may cause you other flicker issues if you do record at 25p. For that I’m afraid I don’t really have an answer other than to move to Europe :D However, I think this problem is less of an issue with LED lighting, so hopefully you can find a happy medium. It’s not a big deal, it just distracts me a little because that’s how I am. Your production is great, and I thought I’d just pass on some advice incase it helps. Also, I find the black level is a little too high, but that’s a personal thing, I’m sure it’s a conscious colour grading choice. Awesome videos, cheers!
One other thing, it might also be worth checking the Move settings to see if they’ve got a setting for 50Hz vs 60Hz.

This is GREAT feedback, thank you! As someone who's very unknowledgeable on the camera side of things, I really appreciate it :)

Ive seen comparisons between this and the OP-Z, except this doesnt have any of the QC issues the OP-Z has. Is that a fair assessment?

It's similar in many ways, but also not haha. I go into it a little bit more in this video th-cam.com/video/ub2a9oz93Po/w-d-xo.html
