  • In this video I will teach you how to move content using position in CSS. 🙂 We will also be using this CSS property to keep our navigation at the top of our website, even when we scroll.

    I am having the best time learning this from you, Dani. Your concise instruction along with your terrific and cheerful demeanor make this super fun. I took a course on Visual Basic 5.0 back in 2001 and hit a huge wall near the end - the instructor just simply did not want us to understand this very well. He was angry, impatient and entirely too well-versed with programming to remember the "mindset" we had coming into the class . . . I enjoyed building stuff so much but never had any real grasp of what I was doing . . . I find out now that Visual Basic is the most hated language out there and I absolutely know why - it's just not very intuitive or fun. Thank you again for all of your excellent effort at sharing your great knowledge and building such a strong understanding in your students! You are such a gifted instructor, man! Cheers!

    I may have to watch this video a few more times to get things straight. But I really like the way you narrated it. Learn more from the first times than watch at least three others video on the same subject. Credit goes to you! I have subscribed to your channel. Look forward to more of your channel.

    LOVE IT!
    I think I've watched over 20 hours of videos that you have posted. It's become a daily training for me. Still going through them...lol... Very good content, between MySQL, PHP and HTML/CSS. Yes I've been learning backwards after I took a 60 hour course on Javascript just to find out I need to be using PHP. ugh... anyway Very Good Content! You explain things very well and help... what was the term you used "10 cent drop" the content into a larger picture for certain features. I don't quite know how many videos you have but I'm very interested in ALL the videos you have created so far, when it comes to coding, styling, databases and the big one "SECURITY" of a users database. I have a big project to build and looking for any info I can get. Also looking for videos on "Website Laws" and "Terms of Use", you may have these already I know you mentioned one law for Germeny in one of the last videos I saw. Thanks again and keep up the GREAT WORK!!!

    Thank you for the video. It was very helpful, for an actual web page is it better to use ems, rems and vh so it fluid then to use px.

    is using position still useful if there exist grids and flexbox?

    • @Dani_Krossing
      @Dani_Krossing  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      They are used for different reasons, so yes it is very useful 🙂 Flexbox is for controlling the natural flow of the content, and CSS Grid is for structing the page. Where as position is used to place content independently from the natural flow of the content.

    I am having a little problem though. Position: sticky. The blue box, right removed, top 0px. This works and the red box scrolls underneath the blue box but when i add some paragraph tags with the tests then the blue box disappears altogether. I removed the red box completely, saved and refreshed and the blue box isn't on the screen. The html and css for the blue box are present. Remove the three p-tags save and refresh and the blue box comes back. I cannot see what the problem is.

      The p-tags witb the word test are added into the body tag before the first div tag (blue box).
