    Section 1.10.1.15 (C-1) of PEC 2017 Temperature Limitation (1) Equipment provision
    a.) Termination provisions of equipment for circuits rated 100ampere or less, or marked for 2.0mm2 through 38mm2 conductor, shall be used only for one of the following:
    1. Conductor rated 60deg.C
    2. Conductors w higher temp. Ratings, provided the ampacity of such conductors is determined based on the 60deg.C ampacity of the conductor size used.
    3. Conductors w/ higher temp. Ratings of the equip. Is listed and identified for use w/ such conductors.
    4. For motors marked with design letters B, C, or D, conductors having insulation rating of 75deg.C or higher shall be permitted to be used, provided the ampacity of such conductors does not exceed the 75deg.C ampacity.
    b.) Termination provisions of equipment for circuits rated over 100Amperes, or marked for conductors larger than 38mm2, shall be used only for one of the following:
    1. Conductors rated 75deg.C
    2. Conductors with higher temp. Ratings, provided the ampacity of such conductors does not exceed the 75deg.C ampacity of the conductor size used, or up to their ampacity if the equipment is listed and identified for use with such conductors.

    in short , simpling explanation..pag meron ka 40-100w na solar panel ay pwedi ka gumamit ng solar cable na 10-12awg...pag pataas na 100w and above ang 8-10awg solar wire lang ang pinaka safe at practical na gamitin...ganun lang, yun lang..simpling expalanation hahaha.

    Clarification lang po sir. Since yung temperature rating ng TW ay 60°C, di po ba dapat yung iapply na correction factor ay dapat under 60°C din not the 90°C?

    Maganda ang pagkagawa ng presentation at sakto dahil ginamit talaga ang mga factors na nakaka-appekto sa pagsize ng wires gaya ng Over irradiance, Continuous Duty, Correction factors, Adjustment factor (Conductor Bundling) at Voltage Drop computation.

    Pero in case sa 3S4P na set up, yong first computation applicable for 3S wires connected to 4in1 Y connector(MC4) tapos SUM ng 4P Isc naman ang babasihan for computation para sa wire from 4in1 Y connector(MC4) to SCC since mag a-add Isc sa parallel? Bali lalabas na scenario papalaki yong wire 3S to 4in1 Y connector(MC4) then 4in1 Y connector(MC4) to SCC. tama din po ba sir na same principle ang computation ng Isc sa series at parallel?

    #12 AWG na po ang minimum wire size para sa residentials, di na po ginagamit ang #14 AWG.. thanks po sa mga video avid follower here.

    Sir, clarification ko lng.
    Dun po sa Voltage Drop Calculation nakalagay Series Connection?
    Pero gamit po natin sa Computation 17.8. (8.9(Isc)*2) I supposed Parallel Connection.
    Tapos pag dating nmn sa
    %VD = (Vdrop/Vmp)*100
    = (Vdrop/72V)*100, I supposed 72V series Parallel Connection.
    Natutunan or napansin ko lng dn to dahil na rin sa tutorial mo sa Voltage Drop. Hndi po talaga ako marunong 😁, Salamat Sir sa mga tutorial dami ko natutunan.

    Kaya po ba ng 10mm2 PV cable ang 2p2s? If the value is:
    ISC 10.48A x 2 =20.96A x 1.25 x 1.25= 32.75A
    10mm2 is not actually 8awg but 7.2? Tama po ba ito?
    Nakakalito po kasi na halos lahat ng ampacity table ay base sa imperial.
    Wala po bang exact conversion na para sa metric?
    Kung hindi kakayanin ng 10mm2 ang 2p2s na may ISC 10.48A, 16mm2 ang kasunod na wire.
    Hindi naman po mahirap maghanap ng 16mm2 PV cable at MC4 na 16mm2?
    Salamat po sa pagsagot sa katanungan.

      by right po wala po dapat effect sa inyo, nasa tama po minimum wire size nyo po kung my issue po baka sobrang layo nyo na from transformer or madaming bahayan sa area nyo tapos my mga welding, pero kung safety po sa bahay nyo ok na po ang #8 as minimum wire size given na pasok sa mga load computation nyo

      Idol! Lagi akong nanunood ng mga videos u. Gusto q mga videos mo dahil marami ako natutunan. But if you don't mind. Curious lng. Bakit nga ba magkaiba ang ginagamit na wire sa dc kesa sa ac. For example Thhn usually used for domestic wiring. Pero for dc wiring, usually finer ang strands like sa solar pv panels and batteries.
