I find the music makes this sound like some intense documentary, but glad you're sticking to good information about the devices. The B16 does look really cool even if it's not for me(I own the s16 and a snackbox mirco).
@@el_teqck The extra buttons are definitely helpful and the mat feeling on the standard buttons compared to the smooth ones on the micro are refreshing. I think micro is a more perfect size because it's slightly bigger than the S16 and it's easier to play on my lap. I feel like a larger person would have trouble doing so with the S16 compared to the micro as well. Overall, the extra utility and the value of the S16 are better than the micro, but the micro has the better feel and aesthetics as the size is better for larger people and has more room for art despite already being tiny.
I was really looking at this for a while for Tekken 8. Portability is a big thing for me. When they can make one that can fold or something I'll lose my mind. Thanks for this review.
sick video! i have the mini version and is just what i needed! i'm tempted to buy this version, but i cant justify it to myself: both are practically the same :p
I wish you covered more on how to customize the leds and what modes does the controller have. Or at least have left the link to leds customization. Nice video otherwise! 👍
@@el_teqck yeah this would be helpful! Since I’m really interested in this controller and you did cover the essentials but was still left with some questions. Great stuff! ❤️
I’m glad you liked the video. I can see how going deeper into LED customization and modes would be helpful, but that’s more of a ‘how-to/tutorial’ topic. I’ll consider making a separate video to cover that in detail. Appreciate the feedback. 🙏
I've recently ordered T16, just before B16 was announced and now I'm kinda torn apart if I should order this one also. T16 is very nice when it comes to playing on the couch with controller siting on the laps. B16 is pretty small and this can be deal breaker here. However I'm keyboard player and this layout could be way better for me. Any thoughts?
@@el_teqck Fantastic. It's amazing the consistent build quality they sell at this price point. The S16 surprised me as the first H42 I tried. Nice to see it wasn't a fluke.
how customizable are the buttons? say i wanted to swap the L1 and L2 buttons to be the leftmost buttons in the standard set of 8 keys. while the XYAB buttons are shifted one spot to the right each. is that doable?
@@el_teqck thanks for confirming this for me. i usually play SF6 and a bunch of classic FGs like KOF and whatnot, i use a GAMO K28 that a friend gifted me for the most part, and one of its best features is the multiple profiles and customization. only issue i've had with it is that they keys are not hotswappable and all are parallel, which gives me some trouble with my long ring fingers and the B16 looks like it doesn't have these issues. i've had my inputs mapped that way cause it always bugged me that the L1 and L2 buttons are not on the LEFT in the "standard" layout. and i like my macros being on the left while my main buttons are on the rightmost position. iv'e been thinking of getting this B16 and the customizable layout is important so i don't have to relearn my muscle memory after 600+ hours in SF6. again thanks for confirming this, i may have found the controller for me after a long search. and i gotta say i love the editing and general vibe of the videos, tells me the praise is from the heart! BTW i heard about this controller from the Dutch FGC, who seem to have unanimously converted to using haute42 products... if a whole FGC is behind it i think is more solid of a purchase than i've ever seen before haha
@@el_teqck hey man, just got my b16 and i'm having a bit of trouble configuring the lights. i shifted the button layout successfully as i asked, but for some reason the LEDs are arranged according to the default setup, so when i assign a color to a certain button it's only lighting up the default pin for that button (for example i shifted the two spacebar pins to be L3 and R3 while i use the W in WASD as my up button. when i press W it lights up the default hitbox up button lol. no idea what i'm doing wrong, would appreciate some help if you don't mind!
@@LightBringer666According to the Haute42 Discord, this is something that is happening on every controller right now. A patch is being worked on now. No ETA but hopefully it’ll be resolved soon. In the meantime, we’re all playing in party mode.
This is the most dramatic over the top editing for a review I've ever seen and I love it
🔥🔥🙌🔥🔥

The B16 is better for me. As a keyboard warrior, I prefer the feel of typing my way to victory ✊🏾
✊🏿
Now that's some effort for a 41 subscriber channel. Good job!
🙌
Okay I legit love your reviews.
It's informative, pretty funny and does sell them pretty well.
Thank you for your kind words. 🙏
Love the editing style, makes it seem like a damn movie more than a controller review.
haha. thank you for the kind words.

It’s definitely been an intense back and forth crowning the #1.
How does the snackbox stack up against the S16?

The B16 is exactly what I want, but it's too small to play comfortably on my lap.
On your lap, yes..impossible. On a desk, chefs kiss.
I was looking for a B-16 review, ended up feeling like watching a documentary of the lethality of the F-16 👍
Understandable

Foldable by design..you might be onto something there…AND wireless!
Did u try it is it good? I wanna buy it
Thanks for this vid. I got the B16 from Haute to review and wanted to see some opinions on it!
Glad I could help!

You've got a sponsor already? Huh, very nice, wish you all the best in your YT journey, good sir
No, not sponsored..just sharing my top finds. Thank you for the kind wishes.
I got two Haute 42 leverless pads but this one i want this one though 💯🚨

It sounds like you might be a B16er. I’ve had both for a good while now and I still go back and forth between the two.
That side usb c port looks like an accident waiting to happen. Do you find it's surviving regular wear-and-tear?
It’s been smooth sailing and holding strong.

WHY COULDNT THEY JUST MAKE THE BASE BIGGER
Welcome to the love-hate nightmare that is the B16…….it’s amazing..

This is 100%. In fact, I use a custom button profile that is far from what comes as default.

Do you know if they sell see-through face plates for the B16? I'd like to commission some art for it, once I get used to the controller
To my knowledge, it’s DIY.
There are people on Huate42’s Discord that can help you through the acrylic shaping process.
What do you think g16 vs b16
I have all 3 and I prefer the B16 over the G16.
The tough choice is S16 or B16.
Is it ps5 compatible
With the booter 5 adapter or mayflash Magic s ultimate adapter, it sure is.
