Kalofer is actually the birth place of one of the biggest Bulgarian poets and revolutionaries - Hristo Botev (here you can check for him en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hristo_Botev) and he was born on the 6th of January (Jordan Day) so the celebrations are biggest in Kalofer.
