1860s Kyo is plagued by widespread inequality, and one samurai will change the course of history in his search for justice. In doing so, you will bring an end to the samurai era and forever change the future of Japan. Draw your blade, load your revolver, and join the revolution in this heated historical adventure that only the creators of Yakuza: Like a Dragon could produce.
Like other titles in the Like a Dragon series, Ishin! utilizes a robust combat system, notably similar to its predecessor Yakuza 5. Players control the sole playable protagonist, Sakamoto Ryōma, and have access to a total of four fighting styles: Swordsman (which uses a katana as the primary weapon), Gunslinger (which uses pistols), Brawler (which uses hand-to-hand combat, more similar to the traditional combat style), and Wild Dancer (which uses a combination of katana and pistol). The game introduces a new system, Dharma Points, which can be gained by completing side-quests, story events, gaining Completion Points, and other tasks. Dharma Points can be exchanged for abilities. The game features new types of side content, the biggest of which being Battle Dungeon, a dungeon crawling mode which utilizes special ability cards (also known as Trooper Cards), and Another Life, a side-story where Ryōma must pay off the debts of Haruka, a girl in debt due to illness. There are also returning series staples like Gambling, Karaoke, and a fighting arena, among other minigames.

Be even better if we could just get more games LIKE sleeping dogs. Sleeping dogs doesn't need a remake, it still holds up today. Besides, a remake is highly unlikely given the fact the developers of it are defunct.

A game is meant to be fun and entertaining. If i want to see a movie i go the Cinema. I don't like to be hinted all the time during the game about keys i must press or constantly interrupted with cinematics.

The cinematic and story seem really engaging and well made... the fighting system though... Can somebody explain to me how can you play this after games like ghost of Tsushima exist?

you only saw the very tutorial of this system, the heat moves is what makes yakuza games so sick, this player missed every opportunity to show them off and failed miserably.

This is the same game making it about 'hitting a woman' when it is really about 'hitting a mother holding her sick child'. You can tell the audience it was created for isn't very bright and come from a country where each individual citizen literally believes they are the protagonist in other people's lives and they all have a stupid story to tell which nobody cares to hear.

It was a thing in the series since 2005. They did it to lower the game's size and cost on voice actor. Also when you don't have to spend a small fortune on voice actors, it allows putting a lot more side content, which is yakuza series known and loved for.

I'm glad they gave us this game. It's spin off from the Yakuza games and I just love those games except for the last one like a dragon. Out of all the Yakuza games like a dragon is the worst in the franchise to me, esp the fact they took out the original combat system but this game brought it back.

I love it, the turn based combat makes it more strategical and slower, cool powers and effects each player has, also ichiban is a huge rpg fan so it fits his character style. Story is solid too.
