    This video was a huge help! I'm planning on traveling the USA starting this summer with a travel trailer and needed a solution for my mail. Thanks to you I'll be signing up to Traveling Mailbox. Actually wish I would have done this a long time ago... going to the PO Box and having stacks of physical mail is a huge pain and always a chore. Thanks man!

      My pleasure, Chris! I'm a huge fan of being able to digitize my physical mail. Makes things SO much easier ;)

      Spoke to Traveling Mailbox support and they were incredibly helpful. Their business can help with even more functions than anticipated. Will make sure to use your affiliate link. This service is going to be one of the main players in allowing me to explore the USA and work 100% mobile. Thanks again and will look forward to watching more of your videos.

    Presently, I am in this exact situation. Having gone back and forth from my home in Thailand to my home in the US over the past two decades. I'm finally making a more permanent move to Thailand. I have no family in the US, or anyone I can depend on to handle my mail, yet still have significant financial ties there. I have two questions: 1) I've read lots of reviews of Traveling Mailbox and Earthclass Mail. Both have glowing reviews; yet also have some rather off-putting negative anecdotes... mostly to do with mis-handling of mail, and hidden fees/costs. Have you had any negative experiences with Traveling Mailbox that are worth sharing? And 2) have you had any problems changing your address to a 'virtual address' with any of the financial institutions you are associated with? Thanks for your feedback!

    • @FarWestChina
      @FarWestChina  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Craig, great questions. Hopefully I can answer them well here. First, I haven't had any negative experiences with Traveling Mailbox, but I will add that I don't receive too much mail (less than 10 pieces a month). They've never mis-handled my mail (although I'm sure it's entirely possible that could happen at some point) and I've never received so much mail that I've needed to pay for extra scans/opens.
      As for your second question, changing my address was the easiest part. The banks could care less and the same goes with my insurance company and even the state of Texas (I use this address to register my business). Once I got the USPS document signed, nobody else seemed to care.
      Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks for the video. So if you ask the Traveling Mailbox to forward a package or a letter to your current location, do they just add the cost of that postage to your monthly bill? Can your choose the class of mail, that is, express, standard, by land, sea, or air, with an estimate of the cost before you choose? Thanks in advance.

    Can I use a virtual mailbox on my driver's license and car's registration? For instance if I live in NY and want a Connecticut residency, can I get a virtual mailbox on CT and use it to register car, driver's license while living in NY?*

      I know there are quite a few virtual offices in Korea and the Philippines, but that's a bit more than most people need. Unfortunately, I don't know of any virtual mailboxes in either country. Sorry! 😒

      You can have virtual mailbox anywhere in the world.
      Your mail will be scanned to e mail or if that is a check they'll mail it for you.

    I have an address through incifile, however, I used my current address for a title for a property I bought in order for the title to be sent to my current address, is this a problem with the state? My incifile address is in the state in which I purchased my property. Do I have to request a change in address at some point?

      You are only allowed a certain number of "names" for each address. Every service handles this differently, so you'll need to ask them.

      I am looking for a virtual mailbox in the US so that I could register my business. I was going to go with Earth Class Mail but for the past week they have been utterly unresponsive to my inquiries via phone, via email, and via their online chat. In contrast, even though it was late on a Saturday evening, not only was customer service rep from Traveling Mailbox very responsive and hugely helpful, she offered me a half-off promo code if I signed up for a month, and two months free if I signed up for their annual service (same as your promo code here).
      Sorry Earth Class Mail, thanks to your non-responsiveness, you've lost me as a customer. I am signing up for Traveling Mailbox first thing on Monday morning! Thank you, +Travel Xinjiang: Far West China for helping me make my decision, and I'll be using your promo link to help out your channel. Have a "like", and a new subscriber!

      Yea, I've used Traveling Mailbox to register my business and it's been great. I don't have a lot of experience with Earth Class Mail, but I can tell you that Traveling Mailbox has worked well for me.

    • @FarWestChina
      @FarWestChina  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was able to get my tax documents quickly and on time no matter where I am in the world. Previously, I had to wait for my family to receive the mail, open it, send it along to me, etc. It was a huge headache.

    There are some problems here: if my residence is unchanged, don't matter how many people I tell about my new virtual address... as I will still receive driving fines to my actual address and not the virtual one, as police just look for my residence address. The same goes with the electoral register and so on. In the case I can use the virtual address as residence address, there are different issues and potentially legal, in the case some government officer come to knock my door for unpaid taxes and so on. Also, in UK we can only get a family doctor near were we live. In addition to all of this: what about a new credit card and pin being sent from the bank? do you really want you card pin being scanned and posted online?
