HAPPY Wednesday MalPals and NewPals! I'm continuing my hunt for quality drugstore makeup and beauty products, and today I'm giving you my first impressions of NYX Born To Glow Foundation and a full foundation review; including a multi-day wear test in the humid Houston heat, SWIMMING in the ocean, and surviving a hurricane (technically a tropic storm)!

Okay, so I bought this a while back and gave it to my mom bc it was the wrong shade. Bought it again a few weeks ago and just wore it for the first time today. It was amazing! I literally applied about a pea sized (or less) amount for my whole face and it stayed for about 8 hours without any breakdown, and I didn’t set it. It’s definitely going into my main rotation!
I’ve gone through 2 bottles! I didn’t even realize how much I loved it until I used up the first bottle! I mix it into all my other foundations too!
Yes I have a strong olive undertone!
I gotta say just how much I love your videos. I don't really wear makeup anymore but I watch bc 1: to support you and 2: your videos are so entertaining, especially the whole outro. Definitely a wild foundation review and I am here 👏 for 👏 it! 👏
i absolutely love this foundation! you really don't need a lot of it. a little goes a long way.
this shade (6.5) is my ideal match! it blends into my skin seamlessly. i've always struggled with matching foundations, concealers and the like. . . because i never knew how green i actually was hahah

I’m gonna have to try this foundation, I’m on a budget but for that price there’s no risk. I love that we got to see the wear in so many ways. I’m sorry the foundation wasn’t “teardrop proof” I hope you had a good cry and feel better.❤️

Absolutely love this foundation!!! Just got the shade natural tan I believe and so glad I got 3 backups because it was on clearance at Walmart for $1.00!! 🥰 Definitely going back to try and find more 👌
I just got this last week because of this video, and I can't believe how much I adore it! It absolutely blew my mind. I wanted to thank you for trying this out, and for trying more drugstore products for us dry skin-ers 🤣
I have extremely sensitive skin and I agree drugstore used to wreak havoc on me. I still avoid the bigger brands because I’ve just not had good results. I wanted to suggest trying essence hydrating foundation. It’s amazing and I think you may like it. It wears best for me with no primer. Very skin like, covers but not extremely full coverage. Oh and it’s less than $7. I’m glad you said why you avoid drugstore makeup. Totally makes sense.
I don't love drugstore products as much as I do luxury products but this is one of my favorite drugstore foundations. Specifically for the color match. I have light olive skin and I use the shade Nude as well. Works great for me and for cancelling redness too!
This is my holy grail foundation! I wear this same shade and no you’re not crazy it has a greenish undertone. I now need every foundation to come out with green undertones because it is perfect for me. ❤️❤️ so glad you like it.

Me too me too! I'm a pale olive person and it's so hard to find foundations with a greenish tinge so I was excited when I saw it lol
I believe Urban Decay Stay Naked also has a couple of shades with green undertones. I just much prefer the NYX for myself. 😃

I have oily skin but I still watch because I like to be informed and appreciate your work.
I accidentally fell asleep wearing this while watching a movie and went to the bathroom expecting to look awful and this foundation held up. I have sensitive skin and will turn red nearly immediately after applying certain foundations, even some moisturizers 😔 but that said, this is very good! I didn't get any "glow" it was more matte/soft matte on me but that's okay. I'm super fair and have a hard time finding the right undertone in a foundation, sometimes the lightest shades turn too warm or lean grey but this one was a perfect match! That's an issue with the drug store, you can be ghost white or umpa lumpa in the blink of an eye 😬😅

I’m telling you try the flower beauty light illusion foundation, it is amazing! Good coverage, dewy finish, lasting power, the best!

Oh, you tempt me Mal. Nyx products never work for me for some reason, but you make me want to try it.
You influenced me to buy this… I had high hopes, applying it, went on beautifully , nice coverage, and for once it matched me perfect and didn’t oxidize…. I felt like it was too good to be true, and it sadly was. Within an hour it completely separated and wiped off my face, I continued to try it with different products and no matter what, it wouldn’t even last an hour, let alone 30 mins on my face without almost vanishing.. I thought it was so weird but when I read reviews on this product a lot of other girls had the same issue, so it’s interesting it held up so well on your face! Personally for me, it went in the garbage and I would never recommend it… I have normal-dry skin… and nothing about it was glowy, very matte actually, yet somehow wiped off my face. :(

Your skin looked amazing with that foundation! I used to sweat on my lip and just above my eyebrows. I didn't wear foundation until my 40s because of it. Now I don't sweat. My skin is drier and the heat is dangerous so I am stuck im the AC all spring and summer. Hope you are doing ok. I keep ypu in my prayers.

Dang, I might just have to pick this one up! I LOVE the Wet n Wild Dewy Foundation, the Flower Beauty Light Illusion foundation, and the L'Oreal Age Perfect Radiant Serum Foundation! I will say, I don't think the Radiant Serum Foundation is as long lasting, but it is beautiful!
That's so funny!! Those are my favorite too!! I have all of those in my top drawer of favorites!! I have repurchased the Flower Beauty Light Illusion many times! I just tried the Wet n Wild Dewy and that's really nice minus the smell 😂 lol - and the L'Oreal is so nice for running errands and having a lighter coverage day!! Great taste Kaleigh 😁🤩⭐️

I’ve never found a foundation EVER that I can wear without it looking yellow or showing every speck of dry skin. So I just don’t really wear makeup, but now I’m 24 and working in an office and I want to be more professional. THIS is the only foundation I’ve found that I like. Wow. I wear the lightest shade and it’s so nicely pink.

Great review. I appreciate the inside and outside shots. It looks great on you! Also- if you still have braces and it’s rubbing/hurtingask your orthodontist for some wax! You just need a small amount but it always helped me. 😉

I've not tried this one but have been tempted since they got rid of the Loreal magic foundation...in the square glass jar. If it can hold up in that Texas heat and stormy weather we just saw then I guess I need to give it a try. I'm currently trying out that sugar rush skin tint. Not bad by the way.

Me too I have combo skin that is a lot more drier than oily nowadays and I bought this foundation the other day - it’s fab! Really really nice to mix in to other foundations too

I don't know if this will work for everyone
but when I get a rash on my face I put some steroid nasal spray on it and it goes away within days. I don't like using the steroid lotions or ointments on my face bec I feel like they break me out.

@@ImMalloryBrooke Their Epic eyeliner IS Epic! It doesn't budge. Blushes are pretty fantastic and I enjoy their foundations also. The Glow foundation works great in the winter months for me and I use their mattifying foundation on my oily skin during the summer! They do need improvement with their mascaras however....and I love their shadows, too. Think I've covered it all!!! Lolololololo. Thank you for all of your fantastic videos, Mallory. I liked this foundation in winter i use vanilla . I have the nude shade also for summer. The Armani foundation i love when put it on but after 2 hours its all came of really dont no how to keep it on. ? You should tey the fenty pro filter powder foundation. I have dry patches and thought no no not a powder , But seriously its amazing i think you will love it .

That’s really pretty! I like the satin not dewy situation-makes pores look nice not oily (and I’m very dry too). I want to try this but seriously I’m sooo salty they left CVS☹️ Whyyyyyy??😢 Nyx was always my impulse-buy bc all their stuff is great(the correctors are crazy good!).
