- I'm back with a my series for Best & Worst Staterooms on @RoyalCaribbean Ships. Today's video is the Mariner of the Seas.
How are those corner aft balconies? Have you heard of the "stripper pole" rooms? I go over all of these today.

What’s the hump? We just got off Norwegian Breakaway 6/2024. Our first cruise and we were ready to go back. And we are planning on doing Royal Caribbean.
The hump is when you look at the deck plan and there's a literally hump. Many times, these balconies are larger (not always). But typically, these are very central staterooms.

You are SO right about deck 7 aft corner balconies. We've stayed in them on Mariner, Freedom and Explorer. By far our favorite in that category. The balcony totally makes those staterooms. Only issue I've found is that now they don't seem to be available to book for only 2 people, they only show up if you book for 3 people.
I have noticed that too.
We are a family of 3 so this would be perfect! Is the couch in the room a sleeper sofa?

We just got off the Mariner’s first trip to Bermuda. The ship is worn and torn. It’s in bad shape in all the public areas.
Seats falling apart, bathrooms smell. We went for the Destination NOT the ship. 🤷♂️
That’s sad to hear. That’s how the Majesty was at her end.
Wow ! So glad I saw this review I’ve been looking at an august 8 night cruise stopping in Bermuda for 3 days. Thank goodness o saw this because this will be my family and I first time. Want to have a good experience especially sleeping on ship 8 nights. I’m going look at the newer ships as of now. I really want an enjoyable ship not anything so old and run down.
Just got off Mariner and did not feel that way at all. We really enjoyed Mariner and would book again.
