I palyed this game with plastic pieces, they are easy to control, can handle hard hitting, whereas wooden pieces don't like being hit hard, they don't go into the pocket

I think this carrom board playing surface is too smooth,may be some other powder used istead of boric
Its boric powder only. But the board is costly and of good material so it looks smooth. Its not abt the powder.
