Yeah hopefully us Americans will be able to enter the country in 2021 ... Was devastated my Whistler trip got cancelled, Revelstoke DEFINITELY on the short list.
I went to a bike park this summer and like you, figured out some features i haven't hit before without a tow in and i was just as stoked on figuring out every thing by myself as i was doing the features. Good work bud!
This was my first ever season mountain biking and we did Keystone Basin in July. Absolutely stunning but MAN was it technical, I spend a lot of time taking my bike for a walk lol
Feels like its one of those rides where you can’t stop smiling because how beautiful and amazing it is! Great video as per usual, atleast I can watch you ride while I await ACL surgery!
FYI, if your brake ever dies like that you can open the bleed port on the lever and just add water while squeezing the brake lever. Obviously you would need to empty the line and refill later (maybe even blow out the system with compressed air), but it's enough to get you out of trouble. This should only be done as an emergency trailside repair.
"I feel like it's really silent" meanwhile hub sounds like a swarm of angry bees! 😂 Amazing video, though. Revelstoke is definitely on my list of places to visit, someday in the future when people can visit places again...
Mistakes like this are the reason I have a cheap rechargeable light on my bars all the time... I really don't care about it but it's saved my ass a couple of times on the ride back.
Dude those are some definitely some sick sketchy rides from a night ride to almost you can't see that one small secondary small drop with that curve board wall You did damn good you your wife and your friends Excellent video dude
Loam.... I lived in Calgary 2006 to 2018. Still own home there. Currently White Rock, BC. Do the effing 10 hour drive back 5 to 10 times per year. PFKM. But you..... Are worse..... Lol. Kudos.
Glad to see I am not the only one to NOT be scared by a feature for the first time, but i am scared to hit it for the second time after i have already hit it.
Ryan and Beth, another excellent video.. what bike did Beth end up riding? Beth what type of riding do you use the af for? Also curious about your bars Ryan.. I am considering trying something with a bit more rise... I know it’s personal preference, but just curious what your using and thoughts
Hey Ryan loving the vids mate. Quick question would you recommend the noir matter gimbal for the hero 9. Cheers Shaun. Ps going to Revelstoke next year on guided trip can’t wait.😃
Good luck unless you're already living in Canada lol... I would LOVE to move there from Washington state, but it is extremely difficult to gain residency in Canada : (
Good job on the video! Really wanna go to revelstoke now! Looks insane Also hahah : 12min10seconds '' I've never once felt a bottom out on this bike! '' 18min00 sec ''OH I've bottomed out''
I recently rode this Keystone Basin trail with Wandering Wheels. Contrary to how this video makes this trail look with consistent downhill... this is one of those trails that is basically uphill in both directions. Still an epic ride and worthwhile but I feel the footage gives a false sense of how much descending there really is.
We hit Keystone a few years back. Looks like you hit it at the most beautiful time of year. You should be working on more fatbiking in the snow content. We had ours out in bragg creek a few times already. Plus there is no other good fatbiking channels on youtube.
Does your mate have a protective covering on his bear spray at all? I have thought of putting bear spray in the same spot on my hip bag. I Didn't because one good fall that turns into a puncture would be one the worst things imaginable being out for a ride!
Idk if its just the area I'm in, but trailforks isn't accurate. When I'm on a trail it shows that I'm in the middle of nowhere rather than on the trail.
The first 2k or so of KSB will make you question how much you really like mtn biking as it is miserable. The remaining 10k will make you glad you paid the price of admission.....my rear hub melted down right at the cabin, had to push/glide all the way out....fun times
It depends on the feature. These were right on the edge of my comfort level and sometimes following another rider whose skill level I know well is just what’s needed to push me over the edge to go for it.
@@TheLoamRanger fair enough, I guess I've been in the same situation a few times, but it's also bit me when my tow-in buddy popped and I didn't. For the record, that rebuilt, far right drop does require a bit more speed than it used to but it's actually smoother that way.
Revelstoke seems like the mountain bike dream. Hope I can get up there some day.
It really is. Make a plan and make it happen!
me too

I was amped to get out there this summer, truly only scratched the surface, I'll be back for sure! Thanks for the ongoing great content.
One visit is never enough!
That looks incredible. One of the most beautiful rides I've seen video of.
1:53
And the elusive Canadian goat man emerges in his true form...
That first trail up to the cabin really looks epic.
I am definitely going to have to rewatch this when I get home from work I can barely hear anything because of all the noise around me
This was my first ever season mountain biking and we did Keystone Basin in July.
Absolutely stunning but MAN was it technical, I spend a lot of time taking my bike for a walk lol
I can relate to that one lol

Awesome to see you guys out on the trail very interesting cabin and look how dark it starting to get
As always excellent video
Thanks! Ya it got pretty sketchy out there.
Ive had plenty of experiences biking back as it gets dark with no light and i never learn....well done for getting back safe
your rock garden skills at 3:17 were dope!
I hate getting stuck out after dark. Awesome to see others getting stuck out there too!
I like the florescent orange paint job on that one bike. I'll bet it glows in the dark!
What great trails... Thanks for taking us along on your journey..... :-)
That was stellar the alpine views were unreal you guys rock.
Waiiit didn't BCPOV ride this trail recently?
Yes
Exactly what I thought too. "Hey, I just watched that jump/drop/berm/trail!"
Oh my god this is incredible terrain and landscape! My jaw is on the floor!
It was stunning out there!
Boulder is so much fun! Camped and rode up there with the boys for 4 days!
Winter is coming. This trail looks magnificent!
Your videos just keep getting better and better.

Really good dark footage considering how fast you were going and the conditions
Great video.. thanks
Any option to shuttle up?

What watch do you have strapped to your bars? Seems like a great alternative to a larger GPS!
Noooo. All that beautiful footage of the ride back... just darkness! Better luck next time :)

Sick video bin loving your content lately👌🏼
Thanks Quinn!
Wow. What a trail! That's it I am not waiting long to buy that place in Revy.
Even now prices are high but only going higher, if you plan on buying do it soon.
What water bottle setup are you using on that beautiful Ripmo? Also, what is the watch on the handlebar and how is it on there?
Debating a late season road trip to Revelstoke in a few weeks. Glad I found this vid.

Seems really odd there's not snow up that high in mid November.

How do you mount your watch to the bars? video was really sick
Always carry a nice 800-1200 lumen easy to mount bar light in your pack for when DST goes away! ;)
For a brief second I was worried this was gonna be found footage post... I mean you did go into the blair witch's house.... pretty views though!

I agree. Everyone needs to do their own trail recon before heading out on big rides, especially for ones like Keystone.
Looked like a Snowmobile warm up shack
Absolutely beautiful!
The footage looks so real!
CGI really stepping it up 😅
@Cohen McPherson I was gonna say...
Hey, just wondering, what hub do you use on your bike? I love the sound of it and want one for my bike.
That flow trail above the clouds 😱😍
How did you manage to keep your eyes on the trail!? 😂
Love the Revy content! I've crashed on that shark fin!

Any thoughts on running a size large Ripmo V2 with 165 Xt cranks and a 30tooth chainring. What are you running 175 or 170 ?
Give it a shot! I run 170 cranks with a 30 tooth ring currently.

What happened to his brake?

You're extremely welcome!🤟
Am I the only one who enjoys watching climbing in these videos?
Yeah Beth!
I find myself at that 50/50 do/ don't quite often. I'm 57 but inside I'd say I'm around 12 LOL. A crash takes a larger toll on you as you get older.
Man those views are unreal. Wonder whats the story behind the cabin 🤔
the trail and cabin were built in the 70s for hiking and back backing, The trail actually continues on but most ppl just bike to the cabin.
Speaking of amazing alpine trails....have you ridden Lord of the Squirrels? I know that would be a killer video for you to do : )
Next year I’ll finally get to it!
Yo that’s sick!!!!!
WHERE IS THAT SECOND TRAIL AT THT YOU DID
Boulder mountain in Revelstoke 🤘🏼

Why did you go on that ride without carrying a light???
I’ve been to revy once. Let’s say I’m going back annually
So sick dudes
Thanks man!

Woah that’s epic
Your first ride is the reason I ride with a light in my pack, just in case...
Makes me want to find a really small light weight light for bike after watching you ride blind.
@0:40 when you say it can't get any better you're really saying is that you can't find a lift. 11 hours of climbing doesn't sound like fun.
Does the guy have a E-Bike he shure is hauling ass uphill in rocks
12km of climbing?!
I'm getting strong Blair Witch vibes from the night riding in this video!
Things got real in Revelstoke about 25 years ago
What happened 25 years ago?
Probably just some silty dirt
Yoyoyo , love your vids
Your bike felt good that day because of the dirt you were riding.
Decomposed granite
so gorgeous !

The constant need for tow-ins worries me. So, you can't judge your own speed but want to hit jumps anyways?
It depends on the feature. These were right on the edge of my comfort level and sometimes following another rider whose skill level I know well is just what’s needed to push me over the edge to go for it.
