    This video was so incredibly informative. I got booties for my small dog a year or so ago but got so frustrated when she kept kicking them off. Recently bought Rex Specs, followed your steps verbatim, and she wears them no problem!! Took about 2 weeks of 1 X 5-10 min session per day, but it totally paid off :”)

    Really great video. Emphasised the slowly, slowly at dog speed really well. Thanks

    thanks for the step by step approach. Got a set ordered for our lab. Need to work thru this with him to hopefully get him used to it.

    I don’t have a treat motivated dog. Took longer but I used praise.

      a lot of dogs have different motivators! toys are often a second for higher play drive pups and praise/pets does work for a lot of dogs. food is used often because it's the #1 highest rewarder (human foods and then pet foods), but toys and praise are also super valid methods that just depend on the dog!

    Excellent! Thank you so very much ! This is a winning strategy I will try ! Our Rex Specs arrive today , and I purchased them so my girl can continue to lean her head out the car window and can protect those eyes ! Thanks so much ! ❤

    the goggles have a lot of excess strapping on the sides. Is there a way to adjust those? I’m not seeing a way to do that. I have a german shepherd husky mix.

    @amberaquart Any tips for doing this with a dog who is normally uncomfortable with things on their face? I guess I just go a lot slower? Also how long did this take total for your dog?

    Any interest in a video about your dog getting used to a dremel for nail trimming? We would love to get your input❤️

    So if they were to start rubbing on the grass to try to get them off, would you want to take a few steps back as well?

    • @Whiskeytoller
      @Whiskeytoller  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ideally, yes, but sometimes they just need it to be adjusted a little bit!

    Your video makes me really sick. What will you do when you run out of food in nature? Will your dog obey you without reward? He seems to be so addicted to food that he will leave with anyone who gives him a treat. After all, a dog is a man's best friend and obeys him even without rewards

    • @alexandrataylor9345

      bro wtf 💀💀
      Seriously though, look into positive reinforcement training and you’ll find out the answers to your questions 👌

    • @awalkingsong
      @awalkingsong ปีที่แล้ว +2

      What? If we run out of food all of us die. Thankfully nature is pretty resourceful but even more thankful we don’t live out in it and this comment was so unnecessary. Creating sessions that are fun and rewarding are a wonderful way to strengthen a bond! I have found my dogs are actually less likely to take a treat from random people because they expect me to be the person who rewards and treats, since we have built up so many different scenarios where that is my role. It really shocks people! If I say “you may” they will take a treat from someone else.

      Telling us you know nothing about training without using the word training. Amazing!!!!!
