But the game would decide whether the Chargers or Steelers got into the playoffs. At the end of regulation, the Chiefs miss a game winning field goal and go into OT. The Chargers win and make the playoffs. The heartbreaking thing was that the Chargers had 12 men on the field during the final play of regulation and the Chiefs should have had a chance to retry the field goal, but the refs didn't call it, and the Steelers got screwed over in a game they weren't even playing.
100% agree with you Tom… fake slides, and any of that stuff should be a flag, since it’s them taking advantage of rules designed to protect them, which is beyond ridiculous

Giving one player special rights as a runner is so stupid and is just asking for situations like this. You wanna give them extra protection in the pocket, sure. The easy fix is to make the whole "fake slide" (or the Mahomes "fake running out of bounds and when the defense lets up so they don't get a penalty run for 30 more yards") an unsportsmanlike conduct 15 yard penalty. *At the spot of the fake.*

D-backs , o-line, D-line and linebackers are all looking a lot more NFL ready. A lot of rookies and 2nd year players looking like 6 year vets. Keep the kids in college longer .
