It's high and chesty which is difficult and she's brilliant in her falsetto and whispers, it gives the song its personal touch and deep emotion. What a story teller too!
Relatable. I sing this in my Saturday music class. It is very hard to keep your chest voice in the “Red Lights, Stop Signs” part. Sometimes I can sing that part with chest voice when I’m sometimes alone or practicing. Maintaining your vocals in the song is a bit hard for some people. I suggest to keep practicing ALWAYS REMEMBER AND I ALWAYS SAY THIS: “PRACTICE MAKES ✨ PERFECT ✨😁💅”

She’s just singing with a slightly different technique to the recorded version. She sounds kinda nervous, I don’t blame her, she’s singing for her literal idol. Her voice may also be a bit tired, I don’t see the issue tho she still sounds incredible.
Its not flat, she just has strained vocals. Definitely not her best part of the performance and definitely not perfect pitch. Also her tone was shaky, her head voice is much stronger than her belting chest voice. But it wasn't horrible.

it takes real guts to put your voice on for show like that. no back up voices or music it's almost like she's singing acapella. talent aside, this is one of the most beautiful stage set ups i've ever seen, seriously whoever thought of it and arranged it, props to them. honestly it's incredible

i have watch this performance a thousand times but its still breaks my heart whenever the bridge comes out. OMG the symphony, her emotional voice and that look in her eyes. I don’t think you appreciate from a singing standpoint how good this is, there’s never a second where you think she’s not going to make the note. Everything is placed healthily and there’s not a second of strain. It’s just such a stable technically perfect performance ahhhh
Yes she did really good! I think this performance had a lot emotion and she was just feeling it! This is a very vulnerable song if you think of it and it’s not easy to be at the brits awards performing in front of so many artists you probably look up to! I think I actually like this better than the studio version. The song is so raw and full of emotion here and you can really hear the pain in her voice. An incredible performance.
