    Halftime: Ngl, I see why he plays the way he does. Hopefully he either gets better scoring teammates by Senior year or we’ll just have to wait until college to see his full bag but these boys can’t even make layups 😓 It feels like 2K when you start your career at the garbage high school.

      @@FibaFanatic I attend med the games in Sac this weekend. Alijah Arenas is good enough to play anywhere. He’s at least 3 inches taller than his dad at 6’6” with a similar habachi skillset. My guess is he’s going to continue to dominate high school, do the same during college, and 36-48 months from now, he will be in the NBA.

      @@justicebolden7710 My opinion is he plays selfish ball and doesn't make his team better. Maybe he does make it to the league on talent alone but watching him iso from half court while his teammates stand there watching.....it's not good basketball. I can see why his team is D4.

    This kid may end up very good but we wont know until he takes a major jump in competition. This extremely weak competition and the reason he is at this school is basically to develop his offensive game without any real pressure. Ive seen a few vids of this kid and usually he is the tallest on the court. At the hs level that is bad if your a guard. Hopefully his father has his son at this school for a better reason than just being able to offensively flourish. Gil flourished offensively but never won nothing. Gil judges players with winning and team being the least of factors. Hopefully this kkid gets to transfer to a good program instead of lighting up players that wont see a basketball after high school.

      Brother Alijah plays for the Compton Magic AAU team. If you don't know who Compton Magic are theyve had 9 players in the last 6 years drafted into the NBA. They play the top AAU teams. Hes a SOPHMORE averaging 34 points a game while getting double/triple teamed. Theres footage of him on the AAU circuit tearing it up as well.

      Id take a highschool kid that averages 30 against bad comp then a kid who averages 10 on the best team in the country cause in the nba you realize these kids who play prep never had to be the best player and they struggle to be the best player on a team cause theyve been a role player there entire high school career Alijah it’s the opposite all he knows is double triple teams

    • @ifheavenwashuman
      @ifheavenwashuman 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      He's learning how to dominate and will his team to victories, rather than being coached to win in a system. The amount of responsibility on his shoulders now will help him when he actually does play w/ more skilled teammates. I think it's smart on Gil's part. Teaching his son to dominate, and then teaching him how to win games in the process of dominating.
