“We are now approaching Croy” is the most Scottish thing that you will hear if you take a train in between Edinburgh and Glasgow

The older man 6 minutes in,talks of being a proud Scottish person, yet he talks of watching brave heart which is in so many parts historically incorrect! and he said that William Wallace won the battle of Bannockburn ...that was Robert the Bruce. On another note, I cant believe you guys came to Scotland and didn't visit my home city of Edinburgh! its an amazing city with so many people from all over the world living here, definitely worth a visit! :D, love your videos!

6:54 William Wallace had already died before the battle of Bannockburn and it was Robert the Bruce who was victorious against the English.

I left the country when thatcher was in power... came back just before SNP won Scottish Election... I cried when when we didn't get independence. I pray the day comes before I die. I cannot believe so many people were duped by so many lies by the other parties and the media...Many of the things the opposition said have now been turned around... we are now leaving europe which we were told we could only stay in if we remained part of UK, they said There would need to be a hard border , but now were leaving apparently they say N.Ireland don't need to have one, they mocked the idea and criticised the attempts to follow a similar model to Norway, yet now that they;ve left Europe they are looking at the Norway model, ...more lies, They lied to the fishermen, they lied about the oil, they lied and lied and I feel so let down...It still hurts today. If another vote comes.. I hope the people of Scotland won't be fooled again..

Just arrived here from your part 4: Gaelic video, which I enjoyed. Here, 0:30 'Blokes' only refers to males. I've heard quite a few Americans use the word thinking it just means anyone. "Do you think your country is England, or Scotland?" lol - that's a dangerous question to ask Scots in some areas! Maybe "Britain or Scotland?" would get you in less trouble! :o

I can't believe you were in my town, Stirling. 👍🏻 I've got some great pictures from that graveyard at the Castle a few weeks back (@Ange77H on Instagram). The sunsets have been amazing here lately. Anyway, really enjoying the videos 😀

"Do you feel your country is more Scotland or England?" Not sure where to start with the stupidity of that question. Don't mean to be harsh but this is basic stuff.

Well they are from the states like me. And we have the misconception that everything in the UK is England. Lot of people here in the states think Scotland is England. And that there is no difference between the two.

But these days, with ease of access to the internet, there is really no excuse for not checking the facts. As a Scot it offends me that so many Americans think that Scotland is "part of England", and that Britain simply means England and vice versa. Scotland is not a part of England and never has been. I am often asked by American visitors to Scotland how I feel about "the British". It seems to confuse them when I say, "but as a Scot I AM British...".
A little history - Scotland and England were ALWAYS separate sovereign countries, with their own separate monarchies. We had wars with each other and occasionally the English tried to invade and subjugate the Scots, always unsuccessfully. When Elizabeth 1st ruled England in the 16th century, Scotland was ruled by the son of Mary, Queen of Scots, King James VI. Mary was, of course, beheaded by Elizabeth 1st in 1587.
When Elizabeth died childless in 1603, James VI of Scotland also became King James 1st of England, but the two countries remained separate, with their own separate Parliaments. In 1707, however, the Parliaments were joined together and a new country, the United Kingdom of Great Britain, was formed. There has been no sovereign country called England since that date. Independence for Scotland would be about becoming a separate nation AGAIN. I trust that confuses everything for you...
