Picked up an 89 accord in Florida with 38k miles one owner this week. Wanted a prelude but love the look of both now. I can’t believe how many people in just the week of me driving it say I haven’t seen one of those jn forever. Already had 5 people want to buy it but I think I’m keeping it forever along with my Porsche 944
@@ConnorLee I always said I would own a Porsche and when covid first hit I was able to get one pretty cheap. And originally I didn’t want a 944 but it’s the best decision I ever made. Such a fun car.
Ok, got rid of the stromberg carbs(1985), with the Mikunis, it was fairly straight forward, the hassle was to perfect tuned it, once done I didn't touch them again, plenty of power
Just came up on your channel just doing some research because I’m looking into getting an 89 prelude si that has a bad fuel tank for $1000 here in my area and boy are these videos making me want to just go pick that guy out up right now! You’re prelude is super clean and if I end up buying it, your prelude would definitely inspire my build. Great content! Hope you keep making prelude videos man!
Hey connor, where do you get the parts that are discontinued? I’m on ten fence on selling my third gen because the lack of parts have been frustrating. I need some motivation to possibly keep it 😅
What parts are you looking for? Hop in our discord server (discord.gg/Jt8xreF82W), there are some really knowledgeable Prelude people that can likely help. DONT SELL IT!
Yeah man! Start at the beginning...by the time she's right...booyah! Chilling summer you n yoyr girl and the 'Lude! One love big Dawg! So...diaelectric grease goes on clean surfaces to stop the corrosion...gas separates when it sits...moisture forms =rust...new plugs, wires, fresh gas n oil...enjoy!
Hey connor what's the next major work you have plan for the lude?.... I'm definitely wanting to see you install that lovely 4ws system at some point when you get it.
Priorities right now: -New tires and alignment -Body work. Eliminate rust. -Engine swap After that, I would consider adding a complex system to the lude. I have to get the heart of it running right first.
I did the led light conversion recently on my 91 lude, bought the polarity module units as well... But being that its a mobile light it's a bit of a pain trying to make the wiring and polarity units not interfere with the moving lights...sigh
The 1st 3rd gen car show/meet and greet is still on for this Saturday April 1st. I will be driving my 89 Si Prelude to Lonesome Pine Motorsports Park for the racing. The Prelude's will be racing later on in 2 different classes. Yes Honda Prelude race cars will be hitting the track. 1st 3 people to find me get in free and get a free drink(Mountain Dew :P ). $3 off the $15 admission if you buy your tickets online. Gates open at 1pm. But we will be lining the Prelude's along the front field near the railroad tracks before 1pm. Racing starts at 3pm. 7 races in 6 classes of racing. The Super Street race is going to be awesome. This track is awesome and is located in Coeburn, Va.
Hey love the videos! Gave me some ideas on my next mods, picked up an 89 3rd gen prelude mint condition in NC with only 75K miles. Plan on doing a manual swap like you one day!
Hey I drive with 9x16 ET15. Can the K-Sport coilover kit be further screwed down. Then I just hang up on the floor. I've put a lot of money into it and screwed it up. Only ride in the summer when the weather is good. Unfortunately I can't put any pictures in.
Hey. Love ur prelude. I have an Issue with mine. It stalls when i stop and dont give gas. does someone know how to fix it? Also i got a "Pfeba 394 KBA" Heckspoiler which was made for the honda prelude but i cant find anything in the internet for it
Hi mate, I'm a fan of the Honda Prelude. I finally have mine, I'm giving it love, I won't get tired until I leave it similar to yours. I have a question for you, I would like to know the size of the wheel that your car has. or where did you get those wheels they are crazy. greetings from Mexico!
keep up on maintenance like you would any other car. make sure you watch out for oil leaks or anything like that and if they haven’t been replaced yet replace suspension bushings because they’re old and brittle at this point
They've gotten pretty expensive for one....and as connor has mentioned before aftermarket parts are not plentiful and as the years go by they'll be even less oem parts and even less aftermarket parts.

Wow such a cool duo for cars!
I totally feel you on the looks and offers you get on it. It’s a perk 😏
How did you end up with the 944?

3rd gen prelude is my absolute favorite car, drove my uncles si, have never smiled so much in my life
Yes so true. The smiles per gallon are unmatched.
I got my 3rd gen prelude on the road after 6months of fixing it and it feels so good.
Congrats! What did you have to do to get it road worthy?

Bro where did you get those window visors from?
They came with the car when I bought it. They are WeatherTech brand, but I don't think you can find them anymore new.

Sounds like a vacuum leak or a fuel delivery issue.
@@ConnorLee yeah currently figuring it out. But i appreciate you posting more man. Love ur Content
Are they stock control arms? If so can my stock one be adjusted in the camber? Cheers
Stock uppers and yes they do have about a 1/4” of play to adjust camber.

I think I might buy a prelude for my first car, does anyone have any tips?

Great car, super reliable. However, as mentioned parts are a problem.
Get a manual, make sure the title isn't rebuilt.
I have only owned 3rd gen Prelude's since 1989. They are so awesome. I have 1 rule for driving one. Gas pedal to the floor and hold on.
Thing is minnnnntt
Thanks mang!
