Funny story. I got turned on by these guys through a typo. Hahah. Remember them 12 for a penny cassette order catalogs you’d get in the 80’s? I seen a Metallica cassette that caught my eye. It said the name of the album was “blessing in disguise”. I thought I was getting a new Metallica album. But then it came in the mail and I’m like what the hell is this crap? This isn’t Metallica dammit. Hahah. I was bummed right out. But then I threw it in my cassette player and was immediately blown away. Such a good album.
I was so looking forward to seeing Metal Church at Heavy Montréal 2019 this past summer, but, for some reason, they bailed. I hope I get another chance. I’ve only seen them once opening for Metallica for the Master Of Puppets/The Dark Tours in 1987.
Saw them at small club in Boston. They opened for Accept and WASP. Probably around 1987 or so. The club name I cannot remember, but it was located behind Fenway park. 80s were the best!
