I think I know what you mean... because he is using a rope as a measuring unit, the 'numbers' are 1 for the base plus 1/4 added to each side of the base for the pivot point.

The height of the arch is the same as the radius of the circle used to create the arch.

The whole thing is based on ratios so it should be independent of scale. Make the original width of the arch larger and you just need a longer string, the process and resulting arch (and ratios) remains the same.

@@jbob2934 там у него не цифры, а буквы(по краям Е, в середине М) от крайних Е во внешние стороны, он отступил еще четверть от отрезка ЕЕ(или половинку ЕМ)
