I'm feeling a bit low today. These videos ease the pain somewhat. Thank you. Back to star trek I always liked the gold key comics when I was a kid. Can't remember if the stories were that good but the likenesses were very good.
Been really low the last few days...really want to thank you for what you do. Watching your videos has really picked me up during these uncertain times and put a smile on my face. What you are doing is so important especially during these times. Stay safe and healthy.
Cool that Kirk says he'd give a 5th of Saurian Brandy. It would have been so easy to have him say he'd give a week's pay, further muddying the issue of whether they use money or not.
Didn't he also get with a gay alien in one episode and a weird furry alien in a different episode? I think I remember seeing those things and thinking that they were out of place.
MY FAVORTIE TROPE: STARFLEET ADMIRAL GOES ROGUE AND THREATENS THE STATUS QUO! how Starfleet doesn't perform background checks more thoroughly is anyone's guess...
Next time you do something like this? Use the blue curaçao and vodka and make yourself a drink, called "Windex"! It'll look alien enough but it's a mixed drink so will go down more smoothly.
Another Star Trek trope. Whenever the Enterprise goes into battle with an enemy ship, they always approach the other ship head on as if they're fighting a Naval battle at sea and can only move in two dimensions unlike space which is three dimensional allowing ships to attack at different angles in any direction.
@8:58 "it's blue." Is that a reference to the TNG episode Relics, where Data and Scotty find a bottle of Romulan Ale, and when Scott asked what is it, Data says "...it's blue..." Or something like that in paraphrasing here.
That was based on a TOS episode in which Scotty gets a malevolent alien drunk with a liquid that’s green. “It’s, uh, it’s green!” was used in both that episode and the TNG episode “Relics.” Now Romulan ale (that McCoy keeps around “solely for medicinal purposes”) is blue.
hey chris, trying to get caught up on your videos - this one was very fun...the comic from today's episode was just plain goofy as were many before the change later on to a graphic novel theme.
It's a Klingon *BATTLE-CRUISER* not Bird of Prey. Oh, originally, the Klingon Bird of Prey from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock was meant to be a Romulan ship.
This was a great video, I was cracking up listening to you talk shit about the comic and getting a little drunk lol, you should do a series for bad comics only.
I love your videos, but I worry about your health. To much booze. Maybe you should drink V8 juice, or pure Carnberry juice. Ah, pure Cranberry juice is intense. We can laught at your funny faces.
Marvel Crossover with Star Trek X-Men Star Trek generation 1 it's a good comic I like the IDW Star Trek and Green Lantern I want to check out idw's plan the Apes Star Trek and Star Trek Transformers
props on not cheating Chris haha. Well done
Watching these earlier episodes I’m astounded your liver hasn’t shut down by now.

This channel is a treasure!
Doug G Right?!! I found this and have been watching non-stop!
watching this made my liver weep.
Due to OSHA regs, the Federation adopted day glow yellow shirts.
I was just thinking I could wear that to work. I bet I'd go a week before they'd notice.
It is a rarely used uniform variant designed for squad training in low light environments.
The Motion Picture is my favorite Star Trek movie. The crew never looked better and the story was awesome.
Wow I use to go to St.Mark comics as a kid every time. I want into Manhattan.
Another Star Trek trope, Kirk encounters another starship captain that is either insane or incompetent and an old friend of Kirk's.
And sometimes the other captain is all three!
Oh shit! St. Marks comics I use to go the every weekend as a kid! You should go to the forbidden planet too on 14th street.
Peter David telling a great Star Trek story. There is a big surprise. I think I'll have a heart attack and die from that surprise.
Cool that Kirk says he'd give a 5th of Saurian Brandy.
It would have been so easy to have him say he'd give a week's pay, further muddying the issue of whether they use money or not.
You forgot the #1 Star Trek Trope: Kirk getting it on with some Alien Babe.
Didn't he also get with a gay alien in one episode and a weird furry alien in a different episode? I think I remember seeing those things and thinking that they were out of place.
honestly Kirk barely did this, it was more of Riker's thing from The Next Generation
MY FAVORTIE TROPE: STARFLEET ADMIRAL GOES ROGUE AND THREATENS THE STATUS QUO!
how Starfleet doesn't perform background checks more thoroughly is anyone's guess...
Maybe the deficient admirals were appointed by their father-in-law the federation president.
I loved St.Mark's Comics, I got most of my back issues from there. Sad, it's gone.
I liked the gold key (reprints apparently) as a child in the 70's
I really enjoyed that Crossover with IDW with all the zombie invading Star Trek Transformers GI Joe and Ghostbusters
I have Annual 3 signed by James Doohan.
Next time you do something like this? Use the blue curaçao and vodka and make yourself a drink, called "Windex"! It'll look alien enough but it's a mixed drink so will go down more smoothly.
I think the alcoholic days on Comic Tropes are long gone
Kirk is just the Shat!
If your friend or co worker tells you to kill someone, you do it. No questions asked. That's what friendship is. And co workership.
Me: Goodmorning, Amy! How was your weekend...
Amy: Kill John! The moment he enters the office!
Me: Okidoki!
😆😂
Fumetti is just italian (plural) for comics. Fumetto means "little smoke" (fumo=smoke) as the word balloons look a bit like smoke :)
Another Star Trek trope. Whenever the Enterprise goes into battle with an enemy ship, they always approach the other ship head on as if they're fighting a Naval battle at sea and can only move in two dimensions unlike space which is three dimensional allowing ships to attack at different angles in any direction.
That intro always makes me think its a vlog.Great vid tho
That is not a Klingon Bird of Prey, it's a D-7 Battlecruiser.
Dork!

It's not worth fighting for. We're big enough to take a few insults. Now drink your drink.
Theres really so little hydrogen just floating around in space
Don't want to be a Red Shirt in that universe!
Scotty wears a red shirt.
good episode.
Great video 👍👍

I had this discussion with a guy at work. He hates Star Trek because of all the tropes. I troll him that I love Star Trek for all the same reasons.
Thanks!
I really enjoy your show learning about comics the artists and creators I was introduced to show buy hooded Cobra Commander give it up my friend

Oh, originally, the Klingon Bird of Prey from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock was meant to be a Romulan ship.
I wish i had a comic shop near me, but i don't even have a wallmart
Bird of prey?! Star trek heathen! That's a D7 cruiser
Live the wrath of khan missing the target reference
I think fumetti is just comics in Italian.
That is not a regulation Velour Uniform!
Drinking on camera? Subscribed. Also nice review.
On behalf of what remains of my liver, thank you.
So much Ny-Quil!
Peter David wrote some Trek novels.
uh. so where's the part where the crew fights vampires?
The artwork looks similar to the 1970s or eighties actually star Wars comics
Why does the doctor carry a phaser around with him in sick bay on board a federation ship populated with tons of security?
the security keep getting killed, monsters roam the halls. Are you kidding, if you are not part of the bridge crew, you can't get life insurance!
I actually have this comic!
you've never watched ST:Voyager?
Lucky..... 😏
Stuey Griffith voyager is my favorite. I used to watch it with my dad when I was a kid. Good memories

Original show had the hottest women EVER
A Spock a Day Lets the Good Dr., Flay...
