    I love how TH-cam captions recognise the MT07's exhaust note as "Music"

    The latest ECE R22.06 for helmets have a special clause for dual visors/sun visors and validate them as safe. But you're right, a small gap like that will always be less safe than a gapless helmet.

    • @MotoDragon
      @MotoDragon  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Oh yeh they're 100% safe otherwise they wouldn't be ece passed. But I rather not have the slight gap. Always as a just incase

    Why not the best of both worlds?
    I have a photochromatic visor on my Bell Race Star that is clear unless UV light emitted by the sun hits it and then it becomes tinted.
    A bit more expensive than a standard visor tbf but well worth it imo.

    Clear visor with the yellow pinlock insert is 100% the best thing you could use for the morning time sun and night time with oncoming cars not dipping there headlights once u try it you won't regret it.

      I just bought a new dark smoke and pin lock. Should of tried the yellow one 😳

      @@MotoDragon the one think that really does it for me is the face if oncoming traffic don't dim it does not effect you while driving . I had a few very close calls with the ditch from fools not dimming on time.

    I have the shoei Laverty helmet and I own a shark helmet with a drop down Sun visor, I find the shoei dark smoke visor works decent in the night , the mirror visor is definitely darker at night on my bell helmet and the best is is shark with its two visors, but I often use the Laverty helmet clear visor with a pair of sunglasses as back up in case of sunny weather, so I often chop and change

    • @MotoDragon
      @MotoDragon  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I used to always chop and change, or bring both visors with me. It's just a pain and more to lose

    Mine is like mirror outside, and when vehicle comes from the other side I see nothing but their lights... I use it only on one way, calm roads if it is late night on an empty highway where there are less things going on, and no cars / bikes coming on the other side. it becomes warm and relaxing.... I wish they make helmets with 2 main visors... My small and main visors both are tinted... It is worse in the rain because you have to open it and your face gets all wet... But during the daytime it is absolutely necessary because of strong sunlight...

    Clear visor with pin lock isn't road legal at night according to the manual my helmet came with. All a load of bollocks

    • @MotoDragon
      @MotoDragon  5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      No visor and just the pin lock that's the only safe way

    If i put down the visor it fogs up with juat one breath out . Doesn't matter if winter or summer. What do stop that?i always ride with the visor open so air can go in and when it rains i use it half way so water doesnt go in my eyes.

      Oxford have an anti fog spray which works good but only lasts a few kms, otherwise if you can get a pin that'd be the best way
