Well I took the test today and I PASSED...I owe it all to God and Mr. Rosenthal himself.....I read the study guide from front to back, took the practice exam and listened to CD's over and over again to the point I heard Mr. Rosenthal's voice in my head while I was taking the test. Thank-you for a very comprehensive study guide. I am extremely happy....YAHOOOO.
what edition is your book and cds? I've got the 4th edition book, but can't find the 4th edition cds.
@@therefugelive I am not sure if Kenya is referring to the Special 15th Anniversary Edition which is the one I have it is also by Mr. Rosenthal's voice. I got it from his website.

Mr. Rosenthal is like the father I never had. His soothing voice is somewhere between Fergie & Jesus. His test prep is as helpful as a therapist in tough times. Overall, a FANTASTIC resource!

I have a question: are the CDs just enough to study? I'm planning on adding test practices to the audio cds.
I take my CPCE on Tuesday, February 26th!!! I’ll let you know how it goes. I started school in 2012-2013 and stopped for 5 years before going back. I am using the CDs (the questions at the end), App, and the book (here and there). I’ll let you know how it goes!

Tanya Lake-Smith I’m sorry, just getting back from India! But I PASSED on the first time! To be honest, I don’t think I learned a lot from my program. I did see a few questions that I learned from Rosenthal for sure! However, some I don’t even remember learning about (haha). I would really study the materials over time and consistently. I was not consistent. I started 3 months before but stopped. So essentially I studied for a month. The exam has answers that are more difficult to choose than Rosenthal’s materials. Good luck! :)

@@astokes7396 This is exactly how I felt when I took my exam the first time, but I failed. I studied the third edition. I got the latest edition and CDs hopefully it works out for me.
I am taking the NCE soon and I am aware that the focus areas changed in March 2020. However, I have been studying for around 3 months using materials for the old test. Will I be adequately prepared? It was difficult to find affordable study materials for the new version of the test. Thank you!

Hi Dr. Rosenthal, I have your book...and used it for my comps almost 9 years ago... I passed! But I’m in a situation where life happened and kids came and now studying for NCE. I’ve only been using the app...I’m a mom of littles, I have little time...do you think the app is sufficient enough, or do you recommend something else in conjunction? Thanks so much for your time.
Hello Marisol, Thanks so much for using my materials!!! The App is merely a supplement to my 4th Edition of the Encyclopedia of Counseling and the Special 15th Anniversary Audio CDs. It should never be used as your only guide to exam prep.

My website only sells the newest or 4th Edition. Do not try to use the 3rd Edition to pass your comprehensive exams as it is too old and does not contain a lot of the new concepts. The new edition of the Encyclopedia is nearly 100 pages longer and has the subtitle "The Authentic Purple Book."

Howard Rosenthal I’m using the purple book, the CD’s, and any free practice tests I can find, as I’m not rich.
I pass them with between 82%-89%, but, I just hope the questions on the exam are not completely different. I’m weakest in the testing and assessment area. I’m not good with numbers and graphs.

YES, do so! A friend of mine who tried to pass the exam with those cards did it very very poorly.

Many big experts and authorities in therapy as well as any other intellectual professions wouldn't do this type of self-promotional ads. And they would show genuine concern for clients and new colleagues by giving away their best knowledge without asking for a heck of lot of money. Rosenthal's self-priced e-books are among the most expensive ones and his videos don't contain anything free give-away. I'm shamed of you, doctor. Aren't you yourself?
