What humility and honesty, Pip you are a complete inspiration in the face of adversity. This is a total triumph of the human spirit. Fantastic courage. Keep going!!!
Pip Pip Hare.. Pip Pip Hare.. A facinating history before the Vendee, during and making her own history now. A favourite before the demasting in this Vendee. Interesting how thoughtful & methodical before and this is clear in Pips work to get the slow boat to Melbourne. No sponsor, but Im positive something will come up. An absolute gem!..
Wonderful surprise to know that Pip was in Düsseldorf! She surely is amazing and a great human being. Nothing but the very best for her. Thank you so much for the interview, dear Mark.
A true inspiration and role model. The slowboat idea where you were communicating everything to everyone, including many of us whom you had never met. It was wonderful. Everything of the ultimate best going forward!
Sponsors should be queuing up! Pip Hare for Sports Personality of the Year! Yeh, I know it won’t happen as the BBC will only let you vote for someone on their ridiculous short list. Hats off to you Pip. You’re on the top of my dream dinner party guest list!
Unsure why I have an interest in sailing - following the race but the slow boat had me on TH-cam daily for your updates. I wish you the best self, boat, racing and funding Jan Adelaide
Thank you such much Pip for this inspirational video and your authenticity. Wishing you the best of luck in arranging the funding for the upcoming campaign🙏
Pip there are many of us around the world who are attracted to what you represent and your personal toil and endeavour you have shown us. Pip you are a very nice person. I for one want to contribute to your next war chest on your next quest for Vendee Global.
If ever you need a lesson in humility, courage and inspiration , watch this interview with Pip Hare over and over again. Success will be yours. I now look forward to the coming years with Pip at the helm.
As someone who's just done a bit of dinghy sailing for fun in Canada, I find the Vendée Globe fascinating and the relatability of all the sailors really makes it great. Pip's slow boat to Melbourne was an excellent adventure story all on its own, from the specific technical knowledge to build and manage the jury rig, to, "You'd be surprised how much fresh fruit I can eat!” I can't image that sponsors wouldn't be interested in this kind of truly honest reality show. I'm sure you'll find someone, Pip!
Dear Pip, I was sooooo happy to see and hear you again. Thank you so much 🫶👍👏 I really missed you, I missed your laughing 😂😂 Good to see, that you are okay so far. For the next time I wish you just the best. ✊️✊️🤞🤞🍀 Take care ‼️ Greetings from my heart from Eckernfoerde/North-Germany 💙🌐⛵️🌊🥰😊👩🦳
Nous aimons tous et toutes Pip... Extraordinaire navigatrice et incroyable expérience humaine qu'elle nous partage avec sa si grandeet joyeuse simplicité... Vive Pip ⛵ 🌊 👌😇😇😇😇
Pip deserves the financial support provided to the big teams-Pip brings the majesty of sailing and courage to all of us and is a treasure to this sport. ❤
Why does mainstream sports media show so little ocean racing? With starlink quality ever improving so many solo sailors have given us an endearing insight in their life on board. Though they sometimes seem larger than life to undertake such a race, they all came across as very authentic, down to earth and always very aware of the conditions and their boat. There's also good seamanship, tactics, endurance in tough conditions and resilience. What a sport! I wish mainstream sports media would pick up on this facilitating sponsorships. I realize there's some healthy banter (with the French), but still sailors wish eachother well while facing adversity at sea. In a way there are two simultaneous races: one trying to manage the boat in tough sea conditions and one against the competitors. The first race creates such a strong bound between competitors, that viewers sometimes even forget about the leaderboard.
The French seem to have no problem getting decent sponsors for over 20 boats, surely the British should be able to put a package together for half a dozen people (there were only 3 Brits in this years race) . Pip did a brilliant job in an 8-year-old boat and Sam Goodchild was going great guns in what is at least 4 years old Vulnerable. We need to get involved and support these sailors. Companies like BA and Virgin need to be beating a path to their doors.
The race gets a huge amount of mainstream publicity in France, whereas at the moment it's only really sailing media who cover the Vendee outside of France. That's what needs to change. The opportunities for sponsors are huge, as I've written in www.sail-world.com/news/283057/So-much-more-than-records-and-statistics

Finding a big sponsorship deal for 2028 will be tough. Pip's adventure on the slow boat to Melbourne was good video content but how does she engage a sponsor to deliver a new boat when there are so many new young sailors coming in ?
It’s a shame, you would have thought that with a little imagination, they would have seen how supporting this message would have put their brand more visibly on the world stage.
Have you listened to the rest of the interview? The opening question is needed to set the scene. Predictable? Yes. Stupid? No. My guess is that you only watched up to that point, and then felt you needed to comment.
What humility and honesty, Pip you are a complete inspiration in the face of adversity. This is a total triumph of the human spirit. Fantastic courage. Keep going!!!
If there is a category for Audience Favorite, Pip is the clear winner there!
Pip is so sympahtic, so special, so tough! I really adore her!

I couldn't agree more! Have a read of an editorial I wrote yesterday on this: www.sail-world.com/news/283057/So-much-more-than-records-and-statistics

So brave!
If I had me 10 million Euros, I'd give 'em to Pip!
Pip Hare = Full Integrity
Brands should be lining up to sponsor Pip
Lady Pip !
Role model.

The inspirational Pip- here’s looking to base camp - but Pip has demonstrated how to thrive in the worst case scenario..

Good lass.

Pip, these french came with a standard mast for imoca's, but is it not an idea to have at least a fixed forestay.?
Next round they are changing mast specs.
Finding a big sponsorship deal for 2028 will be tough. Pip's adventure on the slow boat to Melbourne was good video content but how does she engage a sponsor to deliver a new boat when there are so many new young sailors coming in ?
it would have been better if you had turned up Pip's mic.
Always tricky at boat shows when there's a lot of background noise.
Not part of the rich southern sailing world. Or the French clique. Sailing is for everyone.
So have Medalia pulled the plug 😢
It’s a shame, you would have thought that with a little imagination, they would have seen how supporting this message would have put their brand more visibly on the world stage.
@markcameron360 having been a Corporate Clone,, I've never understood their mindset,, so I agree with your logic,,, But !
Pip Hare is more more interesting than Dalin/Richome.
what a nonsense
What a stupid and predictable question to pose “how did you feel when the mast came down ?“
Have you listened to the rest of the interview? The opening question is needed to set the scene. Predictable? Yes. Stupid? No. My guess is that you only watched up to that point, and then felt you needed to comment.
