Lovely video. When we were little my mum & dad used to take me the dog & Pat Wilks daughters down to Blue Anchor beach on summers evenings whenever the tide was in & we'd have such a laugh splashing about in the water. I remember years later the water was tested as unsafe because of sewage problems & this was all rectified. As country children we weren't mollycoddled & ran wild in the woods fields & on the beaches. I'm sure we were immune to all sorts of bugs.
thank you for sharing the video, bought back a lot of childhood memories,my mom and dad once owned chalet 28,such happy times we all had at dunster beach, the waterfall you showed i used to catch elvers and sell them to the fishermen for a penny they used them as bate,i used to catch them from the big steps at the side of the waterfall on the side by were you can go over the bridge i spent hours there that was 50 years ago now.
Thank you so much. We live local to these places - just a ten or fifteen minute drive away. We moved to West Somerset from the fairly large city of Bristol about 16 years ago.
I spent most of yesterday in very dull meetings, and when I looked out of the window all I could see was other tall buildings and traffic. I know where I would rather have been!! Roll on my summer pilgrimage to West Somerset!
I like your driving videos. That is a nice drive home from Blue Anchor. Wonderful idea for the old bus shelter. All makes for a great entertaining video. Donald.
Thanks Donald. I wonder if you regularly watch hubnut on youtube. He is from the UK but has recently been touring NZ and the sights and classic cars. It has been great to have a good look around your place You have some excellent car museums down there!
Hi Mike what lovely day I enjoyed seeing the waves very powerful I am looking forward to looking at the books in the new building in Watchet also nice photos of you and Val
What a lovely day. Being from Birmingham this video makes me jealous that you're lucky be this close to the sea, I can't wait until the annual holiday down there.
ADMIRALSCORNER don’t worry, we will all still be here... the only difference is that the lefty fools will have made our lives a bloody misery and we will all be taxed to death by the government... I work in the area and have seen tidal information going back years, the highest ever record tide in one area of the Bristol Channel was 1982 and the other was in 1991, if the sea levels had risen like they want you to believe then this would have been smashed, guess what, it’s never been beaten! Also weston super mare and other areas would be underwater on big spring tides!

Oh yes I have watched Hubnut's video. He sure did a good one about our Pleasant Point Museum and Railway.
@@MyPlonkerboy How great to have that nearby!
The BBC has also made a long program travelling from the north to the south of NZ by road and rail. I can see why so many have emigrated down there!

Roll on more days like this one!
In Cornwall we've had four sunny days in a row. Cold but sunny, with blue skies and no cloud.
Cornwall usually comes off best for good weather. It has gone grey again up here.
Nice to see Blue Anchor from a different angle Mike , we were surprised later that there was no coffee stop at Driftwood , Ha Ha Clive & Dawne
It was a balance about tennis on TV or coffee, this time tennis won!
That was a nice look round Mike..thank you.
It was a pleasure to be outdoors on a day like that one!
Lovely day down there!
Yes it was. and so rare so far this year!
A bit cold and bluesy, bracing! Looks so fresh and clean! Enjoy! Before climate change, global warming or whatever comes up next happens!
I wonder what thngs will be like in a hundred years or so.I cant see countries really getting to grips adequately with global warming!
