Great to hear you’re going to do gas cone 10 reduction - so much fun! First time changing elements in my Skutt kiln today - thanks for your video on doing that! Aurora Green over Winter Wood is beautiful to try! Another is White Opal over Blue Frost at cone 8 - so cool! Thanks for all your videos!
If you like midnight rain over winter wood, you NEED to try midnight rain over over white! I use amaco’s celadon snow, but I bet any other white would give the same effect. The colors separate out a lot and looks super cool!

Yes - HUGE issue!!!
Been doing pottery for years. Love the color combination you have! Been taking classes at a local potters studio and she only does gas. Also Raku and sager. Not my favorite. Always fun to see what the reduction does to the glazes especially when you use the same glaze on mugs or whatever but some have been at the top and others at the bottom. Glazing tonight so was looking inspiration..although her glazes are only cone 10.
What is the new gorgeous glaze combo? There’s so many colors on it it’s just amazing! Turquoise, red, orange - WOW!! fun video! Would love to know that combo! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I just spent almost $200 at MN Clay a couple of weeks ago and it looks like I'll be making a trip there later this week to get some of the glazes you mentioned that I don't have.

They all look great! Trying to switch my school over to Mayco…two questions: do you use wax resist on bottoms, and do you use a bench grinder for drips?

Hello, great video thank you! Beautiful combos 😍 do you test your dinnerware to check it is safe for food use? I have seen a lot of information online about testing your dinnerware to avoid toxic chemicals being released especially from mixing different glazes together. All a bit confusing any help would be great! Thanks
What kind of stilt set up do you use to fire upside down? How do you avoid pocks in the pot?

Can you explain how to use a stilt when you fire upside down? Do you get pinholes?
You fired these to ^7/^8? any hold? I would like to try out your combos! Very pretty! I mostly fire to ^ 5 with a 14 minute hold. I also have a few of these glazes in pints... 3 coats brush on or 2? Love them all!!!!❤
Where do you buy your glazes from? Do you buy dry mixes or liquid form?
I do have one question. What advantages are there to getting the dry glaze mix as opposed to the glazes in the jar?

How do you stilt pieces you are refiring upside down? My stilts would leave raised marks.
Question Jon I love the desert sunset but when i looked it up it said laguna but looks pink is that not the same glase? I have to have some!

I am having a terrible time with my advancer shelves. Out of 60 mugs, at least 10 out of every load sticks to the shelf and cracks all the way around the bottom edge of the mug. Chunks come off of the bottom and makes them completely unsellable. Can you help me?
What clay do you use? My Norse Blue has never looked blue... more green than anything......... if I put it on white glaze, then it's blue.
I know mayco as brush on glaze. Do you buy in bulk as a professional potter? Can you just scale up the brush glaze and dip, or do you need to add a floating agent or something? I've always wondered🤔
Mayco also makes powdered form in 10lbs. So you can mix with water. These are available through mayco and their distributors. More economical and quicker than pints.

When you refire upside down, so you get any stilt indents on the rim of the mug?
How are your dripped mugs coming off your kiln shelves? Magician?

I use a stilt on top of a post and then balance upside down ! As long as the glaze isn’t too thick the stilt pops right off !

You know what you can do, put the sets that you don’t want to change color on a different shelf in the kiln all the way at the bottom or at the top. That way they all have the same color without changing. I hope you understand what I’m saying. This advice is for anyone.
