I might point out that the sisters Rose Banks and Yvette Kelly walked away with 6 millions dollars EACH after the sale of the Gatwick. They decided to keep all of it and spent NONE of that money to help any of the residents find alternative accomodation.
That is the legacy they left, their father would be rolling in his grave at the failure of his daughters.

For Sure . They deserve it. They helped more people than you could dream of and they spent their whole lives helping people. In the end they didn’t have much choice. Why should they have helped find people accommodation, thats the job of health services and the government. The money is theirs why would they give it away.

There were a lot of times people missed rent and never paid them back. They looked after people not even the government cared for. How long do you expect them to take care of people who are ultimately responsible for THEMSELVES? They were not put on this earth to serve others - they deserve a life of their own after all these years. Good on them!!

the two replies made perfect sense.. and I don't think channel 9 would allow them to spend that money towards helping further bludging by others towards the sisters.. those sisters deserved every penny

Wow! You think you’re entitled to some of their hard earned money or something do you?? They worked there for nearly 50 years doing what their father would be proud of. They missed out being with their own family. That money goes to them and their family. They worked in an extremely difficult and dangerous environment that most other people would not even be able to do! Shame on you for not being able to understand the service these ladies provide of saving lives.

@@CHOICEBETWEENFEARANDLOVE errrr they profited indirectly from prostitution and drug dealing. Not the upstanding citizens that they claimed at all.
