    I watched your Erdnase DVD a few months back and now have OCD over keeping my cards in order. Before that the first thing I'd do with a new deck was shuffle it. Now I CAN'T unless it's false! Thanks for giving me another facet to my OCD you glorious arse!
    I will say though that nobody has ever spotted that they're false and always being in order is massively beneficial for improving tricks if something messes up. Before I touched cards I could tell false shuffles from real so making them all false is a great solution to making them as legit looking as they can possibly be.

    Nice hat, nice video. You actually got me thinking yesterday about how I could turn my normal riffle shuffle into a false. And I found it, actually similar to this one, but horizontal. I can’t do one handed. After I riffled and the cards interlaced, I bridged them pressing opposite corners toward each other which left the halves slightly out jogged. Allowing me to strip them out under the guise of a simple cut. #newdeckorder

    • @DANIELmadison
      @DANIELmadison  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There are some amazing ideas out there, but you can't find the lessons learnt from experrimenting and experience anywhere else. You'll learn so many more things this way than learning directly from a teacher.

  • @elkouchamine6336

    It's similar to Rene's One handed strip out to cancel the one handed riffle shuffle , you're just doing it in hands and adding a layer to it . But I still like your thinking on psychology of moves , got to admit your soap theory helped me improve a lot

  • @UnorthodoxCardTechnique
    @UnorthodoxCardTechnique 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Richard Turner does one Handed false shuffles as well and utilizes this concept of the two halves weaving up and down and then proceeds to strip them out. Rene Lavand also has work on this as well. I had noticed you're calling the second false cut a false faro shuffle which I believe is incorrect, it would be a false Hindu shuffle. Great work and solid instruction! Thank you for sharing.

    I'm not using this false shuffle. But I'm using all the others you've taught in HTCAC. I bought all your stuff from Ellusionist back in the days so I can use it. And I will definately use this false shuffle one day.
    I like the psychology you put in, when you finished the shuffle and give it some time until you make it false. That way you take all the attention from what happened there and let it sink in.
    Great video as always. Keep it up.
    Much love x

  • @JoeySonal

    • @DANIELmadison
      @DANIELmadison  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think that his might have been the one that I saw Derren Brown execute. That last moment, where the packets are split in one hand, I just see a white flag, it's just way too obvious what's going on.

    Great video. Only thing I don't like about this is the pressure you have to put on the deck. Rene Lavand would always bow the hell out of his decks with the work that he did which worked with his system. My system requires the deck to be very flat so I never/rarely bend cards or the deck.

I also think he does it on a few other occasions, i think he did it in a lecture but can`t remember if he taught it. I never do real shuffles or cuts either. It's a full-deck stack, every time. I used to think Daniel's philosophy was too much practice to be worth it, but it's a fraction of the practice required to smoothly control a slug under all circumstances and in all contexts. Why put in the time and effort to be perfect at a hundred or more different moves, when you can place all your focus on fully mastering little more than a dozen and fool everyone, every time? If your only purpuse is entertainment, why imagine you're trying to deceive every card shark on the planet? You're not. You're entertaining the laypeople in front of you. 🤷‍♂️
