- We are building quite possibly the biggest equipment hauler I have ever seen. Right in time to haul a bunch of toys up to the snowed in series with @heavydsparks. This build involves a 43" Military tires, 120" Cab to Axle chassis, 2023 Silverado 6500 and a 20' Knaphiede.

Thanks for watching! Here’s a link to the shop
@@BASIN-NATION Aron looks like he got some sleep for once well done cant wait till the build is done
@@Ellis157yeah he looks rested. Much needed
I can’t say that I have ever seen a plan come together as well as the geometry placed into the cutting of that frame. Outstanding professionalism!
I think everyone in the room thought the same thing. Aaron is a wizard
That’s some nice looking work! I appreciate the thought and time spent in details. It makes the team work come to life.
Thanks for watching! Have a safe New Year Chris
This channel is so awesome, I cant wait to see what you guys build when they ask u to show up at Sema next year!
Thanks for watching!! We have a pretty awesome build planned for Sema!! Stay tuned for sure
Looks awesome that beds huge lol. Absolutely love this channel.
Thanks for watching! We hope to keep the content coming every Sunday
great job again.
I approve of your consistent comments! Thanks
You guys are in SLC? This is awesome! You should check out the M-1079 LMTV I'm building in Springville. Lots of similar shenanigans. I'll be posting the final vid on Survival Dispatch. That is if I ever get it done.
Thanks for watching!! I love me a LMTV
More excellent work! I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys do in 2024! Happy New Year 😊👍
Thanks for always being in the comments! Happy New Year
@@BASIN-NATION my pleasure dude, I'm happy to be able to support another channel from the beginning 😁👍
Can't think of it at the moment but wheeler walker is a legend.
I don’t think TH-cam will let me type it out haha
Love it guys
Thanks for watching Kyle
I have the exact same truck but in 2wd form. I have a love/hate relationship with it lol. Its had its fair share of problems in the first year of its life. Hopefully all the bugs are worked out
What bugs have you dealt with? I’d like to know in advance haha
@@BASIN-NATION fuel pump for the rear tank twice, entire DEF system, brake switch three times. Oh oh and it definitely needs a semi truck horn lol
Cool project, but with that wheelbase and single tires on the back, it should have a steering rear axle that countersteers a few degrees at slower speeds.
I think rear steer might be a future upgrade we would consider
very nice. Keep them flowing
We will! Hoping for every Sunday
I think a shorter version of this with a little more streetable tire (speed wise) would be awesome. We're on a farm and it would be sweet to haul square bales or pulling a trailer, straight bed thought.
That would be handy. We want all the length we can get but it would be a little more cosmetically appealing and streetable if it were shorter but we are going after length
@@BASIN-NATION Heck in your case a hair longer would be better. I'm just dreaming of my own version haha. However, I have a family of 7 now so I need bench seats straight across and my kids to not grow.
Those look like Stazworks wheels and they are a 2 piece design but not beadlocks. Ive had several sets of their wheels on my F450 with their 5” over rear hubs to have the rear wheels face out to match the front.
How did you balance the wheels and tires? Got kind of the same set up, I’m still getting a slight vibration at highway speeds
Love this team. Can't wait for you guys to get in a better building and a new press break and everything you deserve :D
Would it be possible to install a 16.00r20 Michelin xzl tire? If not, what is the maximum size you could put in?
I hope you upgraded the brakes with those big ass tires
Drop 'em Out....
I didnt know they made a 6500. Thought it was just the 4500 and 5500.
I believe that’s as high as they go.
@@BASIN-NATION i checked out their website and it is. I wonder if ram will make a 6500?
Thinking 4 link rear and air bags done right you wouldnt need ramps.
What if we had hydraulic suspension??
@@BASIN-NATION Actual hydraulic using accumulators or hydraulic mechanical. I have only seen the actual hydraulic ones on tractors.
❤❤❤❤
Sam 40 $$👍👍👍👍👍👍
He’ll get there
Use the same U-Bolts and add threads???
I guess you could. It looks like those are going back on for now either way. We have some upgrades coming for suspension
Lols good but what not make it 6x6
Who screwed up and cut the chassis the wrong way
Probably Kole haha
should have just cut the top off of an old u-haul truck. this thing isnt long enough. to much weight past the rear axle.
umm I didn't see a Gard on the angle grinder... osha is not going to like that... haha f osha do it the real way and do what you got to do to get it done
6x6 tires would be beefier
43's are not huge but getting there
Not now days. I remember in High School 35's were big
I dont understand, your building a off road hauling rig. And the put a dove tail in it and make useless off road.
Shold have made the dove tail hydraulic
Maybe we will revisit it in the future. The machine it will transport will be the main source of off reading
wheeler walker is a legend in his own own lane he goes places that most wouldn't go.. he's like Ray Stevens buteerr⁵5 X-rated.. lol
They definitely say it all haha
Have you thought about doing diesel/electric conversions? Edison Motors is looking for associates. They might be worth a look. Happy New Year!
That would be fun! We need to use it asap so more mods coming after the initial build
It's a missed opportunity for myself however, you never know. I have a 1-ton dually I'd like to use as a "proof of concept" truck but, I don't see it happening. Best wishes to you for the new year.@@BASIN-NATION
Welds like that you pay what the welder is asking!!! Great job Sam!!!
You got that right!
Loving the channel guy's. Can't wait to see what all you build this year. Hope you guy's have a great new year and stay safe. Thanks for the video.
Thanks Jeff! We will keep the content coming. Hope you have a safe new year
What about airbags in the back to drop the bed at least a little for loading? As well as the ride comfort will be improved because off-road rigs come in a lot of different shapes and sizes, meaning there is a large range of weights to be carried.
I saw in another video they are going to use Liquid Spring.
That is one KILLER looking truck! I’m jealous that is going to be the handiest truck In Utah. Sparks is going want one this should have been his service truck for rescues. Can’t wait to see the next video on this monster.
Next Sunday! Thanks for watching
first
Thanks!!
Nice work!
That dove tail is going to grab so much shit. It’s to low
$32.50 an hour. Turn up the heat. This ain't no bicycle.
I love it
The way you guys cut that frame and cutting the bed was honestly awesome. Love the way it was planned out and how you guys are filming it all
Thanks for watching!!
I absolutely love the videos guys…. Great work on everything…
Glad you like them!
Not Chevy guy but kool build 🇺🇸👍
Happy New Years and may next year be a good year for all..
Happy New Year Mike
Needs a 4” lift on air ride front and back.
LQ Springs will limit you to a 15k rear axle weight. Even with the up graded struts.
True. That might be enough
The LQ spring system will shut down and go into limp mode if you over load the struts. It can also over load and burn up the pump. Carl @ LQS won’t tell you that. Happing on a Dodge Overland RV. Air ride won’t have that issue. FYI.
I think u and have big truck build off maybe next sema show 😊
Maybe heavy sparks lol
Nice Build! We offer 2" Lift Front Progressive Springs and our HD Shocks for this Rig. LiquidSpring Suspension will defiantly help the rear a lot.
Email me info kole@lowfivesonly.com love the idea
Put tool boxes along under the bed.. 4 people in the cab , but no room for gear
We have two big boxes planned so far
Nice project fellas…looks good
Front axle looks killer but the back with the tires doesn’t look good at all
Wait until it’s done
Salty wants a Hoodie.
Nice welds. Pay the Sam!
You guys got some serious work ahead of ya! I can’t wait to see your channel grow. That truck is killer. It’s kinda dry now . Not saying that in a bad way. Because i know it will change as it goes on. In a couple years you guys will be laughing at your first videos on a video. Keep up the good work
That would make a great lawn truck stock just an aluminum bed on the back.
Have you had the cranes inspected?
We have. They work great but unfortunately we are going to be moving while they remodel the shop
I would like to meet the man that this this stuff up
25:00 When you realize you should have not dovetailed it…. Honestly it’s a sick build but everything you gain with tire size, you loose in departure angle. Should have left bed flat.
I addition to all the good fab comments above, I like the no-nonsense personality of the actual workers.
That truck needs a lift kit. You have no suspension articulation range left between the bed and tire???
If I won the lottery no one would know, but there would be signs😂 awesome build!!
Me too!!
I've seen less faith in a Mormon church than you guys had on that ratchet strap moving that bed 😂
U guys need how to weld frames bro 😎… I can see are ur first trucks doing this
😂
Nice neeeds big winch to
Headache Rack will definitely have one
Goes without saying but thanks for your input, gotta love randos telling the pros what there trucks need
Pull up your pants, cinch up belt: cracks averted.
Nice looking bead or weld job!
Thank you! Cheers!
That’s a piece of shit waste of money
Great project, good luck with the move,
Really enjoying your content, keep up the great work
We just found out we are clear to move Feb 1st. Thanks for watching
@@BASIN-NATION wish i was stateside as opposed to being in the UK, i would come give you some labour to help get moved.
Drop in on a banana board and actually landing that was impressive.
Sam’s Underrated haha
Keeping it Salty.
Why didn’t you guys go with airbags?
Where did you guys get the wheels from?
That’s still a tow truck 🤦🏻♂️
Goosenecks average 8ish feet at least
I need one, not sure what for but i need one! Awesome job!
Thanks for watching!! Maybe we will sell this one someday
25’ to 32’.
😮😂
Liking some of the music 🎶. Trance music 🎶 ❤❤
Goose neck
Any plans for a rear bumper hitch to pull a trailer?
Plans coming to life on Sunday!!
Looks like a great weld
Who Wilds downhill nobody who knows what they’re doing
Wild times on the downhill
Hi Dave, Aaron here. I just sat down to watch the video. I haven't seen the part where someone was welding downhill yet. I'm sure anyone who has spent any amount of time running short circuit MIG would be welding material less than a 1/4" in thickness DOWN hill. So, the idea is that proper penetration can't occur without the added retention time of fighting gravity working a puddle up hill. This is true running different processes and fillers such as 7018 SMAW. What I've seen time and time again on materials 1/4" and lower is a very poor result is obtained no matter what technique is used for uphill puddle manipulation on short circuit MIG. There's too much heat input. Too much filler addition. Too much strain in the HAZ. I've done destructive testing to prove this point in the past. Both methods pass, one looks good, one looks like millwright dog s***. You're not the first to say this and you won't be the last and I completely understand where this comes from. It's actually taught in them slick ol' stick weldin' skools. I normally teach the younger guys to get a decent bevel on 1/4" plate for downhill welding. Run the bead, check the backside. If it looks as penetrated as your mom's, we send it.
BROOOO…. I NEED THAT HOODIE. I work outside, it will be worn EVERYDAY!!!
Dbl design I think makes a rear spacer to flip those rear wheels
3rd lol
Thats still on the podium
Cut out center of rim flip it wield it and run it
As soon as that truck hits an angle its done. That bed is gonna dig
All the downsides of a lifted truck with almost zero benefits.
$69/hour
Maybe haha
Several days ago I rented International's version of this truck from Enterprise. 4x4 diesel, crewcab with 15 foot stakebed. Put about 730ish miles on it. It is very bouncy and rough unless the road is smooth. A 3500 lb bandsaw didn't make a difference for the ride quality. I was getting around 13 mpg, driving at 65 mph.
I don't really see the point of this truck because the GVWR of the Ford F600 is pretty close to the GVWR of this truck, but this is way higher with a wider turning radius.
Ford doesn’t make a crew cab F600.
Kole, those front tires stick out past the fenders. Robby Layton had a problem with this on the "Lamo Limo" ask him what the issue Utah state troopers had. 👍
We might be running from the law on this one.
That's a way cool truck.
Thanks!! Can’t wait to see it done
POV: you have too much money and boredom.
Nice build too bad it’s a Chevy Truck....
Great shop, and by the way you all work together. It looks like you're going places. Keep up the Kool work and great content
Thanks for watching!!
