Tessa and Scott you will be missed for years and years and years... Not a chance in the world that we will ever get to see anything closer to such talent, passion, connection, love and work... They were so young yet the magic that surpassed throughout the entire programe is as old as the world exists... so raw and pure, so precious and perfect and and and.....👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 You will always be in my heart and soul😍 ❤️🇵🇹
Scott Moir is so sturdy yet so limber at the same time. His body is literally insane. What a God-given talent. I believe that he has the best skating skills of all time (including all 4 disciplines).
Yeah it was what they did their whole career. Bringing back to ice dance the dance part and weaving elements into the program and making them look as intrinsically part of it one wouldn’t think they were required.
HD Umbrellas!! Thank you so much for posting this! Congratulations to Tessa and Scott on their retirement! After an incredible 22-year career together, I hope this next chapter brings them as much satisfaction and joy as their athletic careers

Thanks for uploading this beautiful video. It happened a long time ago but it seems that it happens a while ago. Up to this time I'm still mesmerized by their performance. No one can beat them the way they glided, swayed and executed difficult and unique steps. When they performed their facial expression radiates love and adoration for each other. I'm just sad now that they are already retired and drifting apart from each other. Before I dreamed that the two of them will end as a real couple but sad to say that not all dream comes into a reality and I have to accept it as a fan. I don't know if they really love each other or just acting for the sake of their performance. Now that they are already retired I wish them true happiness and more success in their new chapter of their lives. Watching your video makes me happy. Fr. the Philippines.
When two people meet for a purpose they may not beaware of what for or why they just FIT pursue WAITING for guidance and an outcome these two met beautifully matched for the world to ❤️ and see
I never watch Ice Skating, stumbled upon a Twitter few-second video showing these two, and I had to check them, and all I can say here, this is perfection. it's like they are tweens, they read each other minds, this is one of the most beautiful performances I've ever seen. I wish they were actors, I would've watched all of their movies.
All the commentators thought it was amazing when they finished 6th in their first appearance at the World Championships--only a year before this performance won the silver. Truly a meteoric rise!
Given Scott's body language (check the final hug when they saw the scores) I'd say they were at that point. I'd bet they were one up to 2010 at least. After that, they probably grew out of the romantic side and as Tessa said, "It is a UNIQUE relationship." Now, as adults, they just wanted different things: Scott wanted a family, back to his town, still skating and coaching. Tessa wanted her individuality (according to Scott, she doesn't even remember life without him), her college degrees, a big city life. They remind me of both Nureyev and Fonteyn and Lennon and McCartney (as Cynthia Lennon put it: "John's and Paul's personalities were like cheese and chalk, so different, but, musically, they were joined at the hip."). Of course, there is still plenty of life to run. People's needs and perspectives change with experience. I have the feeling these two's story is not over yet. We'll see.
Gosh, she was so beautiful before, why change her nose? But, she’s beautiful now, too, and if it made her happy, why not. It could have been a necessary surgery for internal problems and she decided to get cosmetic done at the same time. What’s the story anybody?
I'm not judging her for doing it, if she feels better like this, but I still don't get why she did it. Her nose was so beautiful and had character. Now it looks more mainstream in my opinion. Not that it matters ofcourse. She is a fantastic skater.
it was their first participation as seniors, they were junior world champions. a huge leap that shook the future of other couples, in any case something to be proud of

Something magical about the way they skate together. I'm afraid there will never be another team like them
I totally Agree
They have good chemistry together, definitely. I love them, they surprise me.
Totally agree!
I feel exactly the same. They are brilliant skaters, of course, but they also have that something that just can't be taught.

You can see how much they've improved but this program stands the test of time! I love the outfits, the music, and the lifts here.
By far one of their best programs! I'm sad they're retiring, but they will always be the GOAT.
So in sync with each other, with the music, with the words. So smoothly move through each move. Just absolutely beautiful.
Glad you think so!
@@CBCSportsc'mon CBC, be nice: upload the latter years figure skating competitions with the commentary.
watching this feels like a breath of fresh air
watching this because i love crying
First Katia Gordeeva and Sergei Grinkov, and then Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir. They are the best ones I've seen until now

Iconic!! This program is a golden piece of the ice dance history!!

They are so awesome. Not just talent but you feel the music in them. They feel the music. They are just do amazing!!!
You've got that right!
Oh my god finally can watch a clear version of umbrellas! Breathtaking😍
My favourite piece of music. Their interpretation brought me to tears
Poetry in motion! Just breathtakingly beautiful!

This is a masterpiece!!! It always gives me shivers up my spine. Effortless softness and lilting movements. Exquisite

The speed, freedom and gracefulness they skated with in this program is so mesmerizing! 😍❤️
Thank you so much for posting this CBC! If you have their 2007 Worlds FD in HD that would be amazing too =)
CBC you're the best! A true masterpiece

Watching from the Philippines today. It's 2021. A late fan of Tessa and Scott.
What a super super beautiful performance.

My go-to tessa and Scott program
Beautiful.
Beautiful
I miss them
This performance was when figure skating was taken to another level
All the commentators thought it was amazing when they finished 6th in their first appearance at the World Championships--only a year before this performance won the silver. Truly a meteoric rise!
This is still my favorite FD of theirs
Canadian Ice Dancers, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir announced their retirement 3x of Olympic appears 5x Olympic medalists and 3x World medals.
Should have gotten 10.0s for interpretation/performance
I think he was naturally a left-handed/clockwise skater but trained to be a right-handed/counterclockwise, making him almost ambidextrous(ambipedal).
Beautiful couple 💑😍❤♥💕
My crops are finally watered.
I love watching both of you endlessly...💕

The timing of the steps to the beat of the music is too fast
Im sooo inlooveeee
Magnifique par❤😂❤1❤😢😮
Tessa and Scott from 2008 would not stand a chance against Tessa and Scott from 2018
their 2018 olympic programs of theirs are my most fav from them for all time. my most fav from any icedance team ever
This was appropriate for the people and skaters they were then. Moulin Rouge reflects the adults they evolved into. Two nice book ends.
🌟❣️perfect ❣️🌟🌷👍🌷👍🌷👍
I think this is the number that started the fans shipping them as a couple.

Fantastic, I don't know why they never married. 👍
18 and 20 I feel like I wasted time

What's the name of that beautiful song in French??????
The Umbrellas of Cherbourg
The umbrellas of Cherbourg - played out in their own life! Sigh.
But why are they retiring??
Too old

Oh they where in Sweden here I see
I forgot that tessa's nose used to look like that

How is she skating with her hair down
because it suits the music
Are they married?
Raeda Salman No !
Second you have to be kidding me there is some sort of favoritism going on here.
