1984 HONDA CBX750F Walk around & start up

(NOW SOLD) Lovely 80's old school HONDA in line four now getting quite scarce already. Just 24,700 miles, rides as smooth as butter (typical Honda) & lovely looking especially with new "Marving" twin black exhausts ❤ & those rare twin square headlights🙂. Great practical classic that will only appreciate in this condition.

Wow, that bike had a loving owner. I just got a red one from '86 because I always loved the look of the dual square headlights, nothing else like it. I'm busy bringing it back to its former glory. Only 38000km on it and no rattles from the engine.That power rush around 8500rpm is addicting!

I just bought a CBX 750F '85 five days ago. It's not in that pristine condition, but it isn't ruined as well. I imported one from the Netherlands. The price tag was ~£620. I'm going to turn it into a cafe racer, but for now I want to spend some miles on it in it's original condition. Day after day the decision of modifying this still-looking-glorius bike becomes harder and harder!

It’s mine now and unfortunately just at 26k miles the engine it’s gone after owning it for 3 weeks. Hope to get it fixed soon

That's such a shame. It ran perfectly when I sold it. What specifically has gone wrong with the engine? 😔

@@PurpleHelmetMotorbikes I haven’t opened all the bottom yet but it seems that something came out of the clutch and damaged the gear in the crankshaft. Will have to take the clutch out to assess it properly
