Fly Fishing South Mountain State Park North Carolina

  • Thank yall for stopping by to watch the video of me fly fishing at South Mountain State park in western North Carolina!! I've got this place figured out pretty well as far as where to go and what to rig up. Next week I'm headed to either Catabwa River or Lost Cove Creek. It's time that we venture out and do some more exploring.

    Great video, man! My wife and I found this park last summer on the way back from TN to eastern NC. I fished it for about an hour with a tenkara rod and had a ball. Plan on hiking in to camp at one of the BC spots. (subscribed)

      yo nice, that's a place I can go to, I think, all other trout fishing areas are way too far away. One question though, when you google Jacob Fork you have the Jacob Fork Access, the Jacob Fork Park, and then in the middle Jacob Fork... which one do you suggest I head to for fishing?@@bradleyhager5756

    Thanks for handling the fish better than the other videos I’ve tried to watch. I get disgusted and stop. I fished above the falls last week but didn’t catch anything I’m going to try again.

      @@TejasFly Honestly, they shouldn't come out of the water. My biggest was a 16 1/2 inch, in a stream in Michigan.
