*"Hart was eventually offered the opportunity to replace Clayton Moore on The Lone Rangertelevision series. Based on the assumption that the masked character, rather than the actor, was the true star of The Lone Ranger, the program's producers fired Moore (presumably over salary differences) and replaced him with Hart, who was of a similar build and had a comparable background in Westerns. However, the public never truly accepted Hart as the Lone Ranger, and by 1954 the producers returned Moore to the role."*
Hart wasn't a bad Lone Ranger and it saddens me that people dislike him. It's just that he was decent but his acting was wooden and his walking was stiff , it was because he took a role that was already iconic and a actor that was beloved. I may say things that people disagree with on this show but in the end it's pretty good.
Clayton More established the role of the lone ranger so it's difficult to fully accept another actor in the role. Just like Columbo, you can't imagine someone else playing a part Peter Falk made his own... sometimes it just doesn't work.
Hart appeared on one episode of the Greatest American Hero as an actor that had played the Lone Ranger, and was going around to shopping malls to put on a show. Yes, I preferred Moore too, but Hart was great on the Greatest American Hero.
I don’t think John Hart was as good as Clayton Moore as the Lone Ranger but that he was better at playing the characters when the Ranger used “disguises.” Moore usually hammed it up as those but Hart played them more naturally.
John Hart just didn't cut it. No chemistry with Jay Silverheels. Even the way he walked and the way his costume just hung on him. Compare those things to Clayton Moore. Moore's walk was confident and striding.
Hart had 0 presence or personality. Someone may have been able to do a good job, to prove it was the character and not the actor. Hart wasn't that guy.
1Valerie's grandmother was worse than Jewell to Jon & I after we had paid her the rent . I would call that shabby to this day . 2 In order to find any reference to any alleged adjective I may have used , one would have had to have wiretapped my grandparent's home . (that is oxy).... 3 . This picture was made before I ever dated anyone .
Definitely interesting to watch Hart's Lone Ranger for this 3rd Season ! So far so good, let's give the man a chance !
Clayton Moore will always be the official Lone Ranger to me. But John Hart is like a Bonus Lone Ranger .
Thanks for uploading

Hart seems quite taller. Nowhere near the charisma of Moore.
Jay Silverheels doesn’t act as connected w/Hart like he did w/Clayton Moore.

Agree re:John Hart.
Yes, he was never a bad actor but it just isn't the same and it doesn't feel right. It's not Harts fault at all though.
I love the Lone Ranger regardless of the actor.
I prefer watching Moore in the role. Occasionally I watch the 3rd season with Hart.

Hart was good in the role of Hawkeye but certainly wasn't a Lone Ranger.
@@bobsradio6025 . Very good. The lone Ranger is a superhero.
Hart was good in the role and had a dynamic presence. Unfortunately he still could not measure up to Moore.

09:39 Yeah Tonto....HUH?
Want Clayton Moore!

What happened with Clayton Moore back on the lone ranger TV series
John Hart was handsome and played the part well.
he was gorgeous😍😍

Is that the first Lone Ranger or the 2nd.
This guy isn't the real Clayton Moore
I know I'm in the minority but I liked John Hart better. He had a "cool' factor.
LOL out loud. He was awful.
Why don’t you either shut up complaining and watch the show or go elsewhere and find something more suited to your tastes.
John Hart for the win!
Clayton Moore was the ranger
Is it just me or is the Lone Ranger getting really old since the first and second season?.... That and he looks different.
