- Sunny days are sweepin' the clouds away as SESAME PLACE SAN DIEGO IS NOW OPEN!!
We were invited to Media Day for Sesame Place San Diego before the Grand Opening day to the Public.
We got an opportunity to go on all the rides such as Abby's Fairy Flight, Super Grover's Box Car Derby coaster, and Cookie Monster's Cookie Climb!
Then make a splash and get soaked while we go go on the water slides including the main attractions such as Cookie's Monster Mixer, Oscar's Rotten Rafts and Big Bird's Rambling River!
So much fun to be had at Sesame Place San Diego!

Aquatics was a fun place for sure but Sesame Place is certainly going to be a beloved place for many many fans of Sesame Street and water parks. It really bridges in my opinion making water parks fun and enjoyable for all ages and not just big kids or young adults
Yeah same, I liked the theming for Aquatica but I think there’s a lot more decorations and it’ll be a park more suited for children, besides the Monster Mixer.

Thank you! I appreciate the love. You will certainly enjoy the park whenever you go! My outfit though was a combination of amazon and custom work. The helmet and cape came from Amazon but the shirt I had custom made at a local tshirt store.
Okay, I thought it was going to be too “babyish” but I’m excited now. Our favorite character is the snuffalupagus. My husband used to make fun of my fake eyelashes years ago, so now snuffy makes me smile
Haha well I guess in a funny way that is a great reason to love a character! But yes this park is so not just a “baby park” it is fun for all ages with enough thrills and small rides to make anyone happy.

@@friendly76 Yep! Same place right by the concert amphitheater. And after Knotts Soak City, it was bought by SeaWorld and named Aquatica.

@@BigRedJourneysI do have a question. We are taking our 4 1/2 year old. It seems like a lot of the rides are for bigger kids. Would this be a waste of money?
@@alissapadilla6924 Not at all! I actually think the 4-8 year range is the ideal demographic for here. I will admit a good portion of the slides will be out of reach or too “scary” for your little one, but the other things they have there such as the shows, dry rides, interactions, characters and even the small slides and water areas make up for the loss of the big rides.
When it comes to the slides the magic number is 42”. If a child is 42” or above, they can ride all the slides (some with a life vest) and/or parent supervision. Now if your child is “brave” enough for some slides is up to you and them. But I am in my 30s and I always have a great time being a kid at heart!
Now question would be is it worth going more than once for you and your child? That is up to you to find out. Depending on how much fun you had during your visit.

@@BigRedJourneys My dad and my grandpa went all the way up to were the little hose/water squirters on the monster mixer and I saw it, I thought they were going to fall!
