Interesting pre-history of the Star League. 1.The space colonies had to rely on Earth for water? No one thought to go mining comets, asteroids & moons for water & other resources? Earth must have had a *whole* lot of water desalination plants to meet *that* demand.😲 2. You would think having so many people leave Earth to go live in extraterrestrial colonies would alleviate *some* of the problems on Earth, but it seems everything got worse!😱

I've known nothing about pre-star league battletech before, and now I see clearly - twas but technology progress and bites of postmodernism... And a few strong decisive men
Thanks for letting me know! Battletech is often a dance of revolution then tyrants. Reading about these characters and the roles they play over time gets me fired up and i try to share that fire with you guys.

Great job as always. McKenna could have become a despot but seemed to legitimately want the best for his people.
Reading these stories really makes me question values self governance vs central rule. Really looking forward to sharing the next part when its done.
