I just got my Juki MO-735 and found your video help clear up the Juki directions. I got the stitch to work the first time. I can not thank you enough! ;-)

Once again your video has saved my sanity! I found it the last time I was pulling my hair out with my lower looper. It's been many months since I needed to re-thread and it would seem I'd forgotten that one little (essential) detail. Between my typically mechanical husband and myself, we both were missing that "hook". The machine would sew but then the lower looper thread would break- over and over again. In desperation I turned to youtube. Recognizing your video, seeing where'd I'd stopped last time: right after detailing the treading of the lower looper, I came back. Bingo, now the machine is working great- and I even have most of my hair left! Going to save this video to the top of my list. So thankful you took the time to make it.

Thank you so much for this tutorial Karen. It is very clear, concise and a wonderful help! You may have noticed that there are some attempts at tutorials for this serger and a few are helpful to a degree in one regard or another - but yours is the most complete and all around best I've seen. Sending you a big HUG! Thanks!

Nice, clear instructions. Thank you for this tutorial, it made setting up my new machine much less intimidating. After practicing threading my machine a couple times with this video, I was able to read the manual without being overwhelmed. Hope you do more!!

Oh my goodness, THANK YOU. I am helping my friend set up her Juki MO-735 and was having the WORST time. I have a different (crappier, but serves me) serger, and the only other ones I have worked with were industrial. I was about to pull my hair out, but you saved the day. Thank you and your nice husband (?) for filming this. I'm going to bookmark it for my friend for reference :)

ENORMOUS THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!
    Really helpful and clear!
Couldn't start to work, didn't understand what's going on, may be my machine's broken! but after your clear explanation understood - first of all I didn't threaded it correctly, and decond, which wasn't obviuos for me at all - I just used inappropriate threads, it damages too easily. After finding another set of more durable threads all was great.

On that last slot before threading the lower looper, I just make a loop of the thread and slip the loop of thread on that slot, presto! Yes, using tweezers is much quicker than dental floss thread. I find these Juki sergers a snap to thread. I have not owned any other brand of serger. I bought a juki after much research and I am so happy with my choice. I own the MO 654 and 655

If it was not for you I probably thrown this machine out the window…..Thank you so much as the book has too many red lines to be able to really see where the lower looper for overlock thread was supposed to go. Are you going to do more tutorials on what each type of stitch is for and where or when to use them? PLEASE!!!

Thank you for an excellent video. The manual is very detailed but it needs one more editing pass to make it clearer. I think they reduced the threading drawings too much, so they were probably more legible in their original (larger) format. You saved the day for me!

I use standard polyester serger cones on my machine for most applications. For the tension adjustments I start in the middle of the recommended settings listed in the manual. If you are still having trouble try changing the needles. With jersey you may need a ball point needle.
