This year I'd love to add more pieces from Hermès like the Birkin size 40, Constance, 24/24 and Bolide. Maybe I'll be bad and get an Hermès Kelly 40! I also recently fell in love with the Chanel Jumbo- so that's kind of a must-have for my collection, along with a Chanel Mini Rectangle and a Chanel Reissue. Caleb. Glad you’re on a new bag journey. I am so glad you let people know to save fit there bags. But please be careful carrying your Hermes bags. Crime is getting crazy. I just had my car broke into when I had to go into the city. I had a Louis Vuitton briefcase and they smashed the side window and stole it. I have had it for over 13 years. 😢

The Bolide is a cool bag! I like that it doesn’t have a lot of hardware so the look can be changed easily with scarves, charms. The 35 seems like it would be a great size.

I own a Bolide. I love it but haven’t reached for it much ❤Yes it was the first to get a zipper
I think I could get a lot of use out of a Bolide. It's such a classic shape.
IMHO, no matter what leather you choose (albeit, for me, fjord is absolutely the most robust and carefree), if you're buying a B or K, you will feel inclined to be more careful with it than the non-quota bags. One of my most heavily used H bags (and it shows) is a non-quota from the 90s made of clemence. However, I love that I don't mind signs of use with that one. It was a fraction of the price of any B or K, is just as well made, and is far more practical for daily use (although in a shade that is a bit more neutral for my wardrobe than bleu jean too ;)). Looking forward to seeing what you choose next!
That's really good input! And you're right, I'm much more carefree with my Vespa, and the buffalo leather is so hardy. It's also a neutral, so I can wear it with everything too.
Hi Caleb - I have the Massai in Clemence leather Gris Touretelle. And yes, it only came with the shorter strap. I sent it to Leather Surgeons and they made me a long strap. They made it the length I requested. It looks great.

I am a fan of the Trim. It is a classic style that is easy to use. I have not seen you drawn to any hobo styles, but it’s a great style.

I’m not an Hermes gal myself, but I appreciate how beautiful the bags are. I was at an Hermes boutique last weekend and got to watch a sales associate unveil a brand new Birkin for the lucky buyer … it was beautiful. No doubt about it! ❤
It's always exciting when you see that happen in the store. I think the last time I got to witness that, the client was accepting a Birkin Touch- and it was gorgeous!

I just picked up a 35 Trim in Box and Vibrato leather... and I LOVE it! I have sloping shoulders as well and the Trim's thicker strap sits really well (minimal adjustment needed). Super excited to see what you choose!

I love the bolide for you. And of course the one you have loved since the movie (sorry forgot the name). I sold my trim in 35 size. It was too big for my taste and I’m not a big should bag girly. Great bag though. But obviously you could go for a Kelly in a neutral color too! ❤

I have a blue baseball bolide that I got from rebag at a really great price and love it. I have travelled with it including on planes and it has travelled well. Can be heavy to carry on long walks through an airport but always fun and brings a smile to my face every time I see it

I have a togo Bolide 35 in a natural tan. I honestly thought it would work, but I will be selling it perhaps to Fashionphile...I am excited about my Vespa from Fashionphile. I am into mostly hobo style.

I'd probably stick to Palladium, just because it's easier to find SLG's with palladium. But I'm really leaning toward the Bolide, I think that would be a great bag.

That's a great question! I'm leaning toward the Etoupe, I think that would pair really well with the warm skintone and easily pairs with black and white or denim.

New subscriber here. Found you recently and love your content. I’m a long time hermes collector and this new journey that you are embarking on reminds me of my own journeys and so i’m here for it. As for your next bag…Kelly Retourne 28 Gold togo or Fauve Barenia with GHW. You’re super tall so you can pair this with a 120 cm strap and rock this crossbody. You wear your Kelly 35 and Birkin 35 hand held, so this will literally be a game changer and expand your collection. My first quota bags were B40 and K40 back when guys only wore big bags now i only use them for travel. My gold K28 with my 105 cm is my most used H bag. One last thing, as you go deeper and deeper into the Hermes world, your appreciation of the craftsmanship will increase even more. I’m excited for you. I’ll be waiting for the unboxing. As you may know, fashionphile and TRR are not the only places you can find preloved hermes bags. There are others that are even more reputable! Pop onto The Purse Forum and do some research. Seek and you shall find. Good luck.

Out of all your options I’d suggest the Bolide. That’s such a stunning bag. I haven’t seen big bags come back yet either, no matter where I’m at I mostly still see small bags.
I'm definitely leaning toward the Bolide at the moment. And it's the same here, I hardly ever see really big bags in the wild.
