At least you have a stun every minute. My holy priest had nothing. Though usually I could get them in time with just massive smite spam. Using a wand wasn't an option. I blow through mana like crazy, but it was worth it.
Don't forget when you're out of a cave, but still have your feet on the entrance rocks, so you still can't mount, or when your pinkie touches the hive part in Silithus so you insta-dismount.

I actually found out why this happens. If you have any form of damage return/thorns/etc it counts as if you're hitting the mob back, which prolongs its leash range. I had this experience with a mob in Burning Steppes which followed me half across the map and eventually killed me because I was too lazy to deal with it and was waiting for it to fall off. Never had that happen to me again once I turned off my Retribution Aura.
@michael wittmann they target me in a sense of spamming me with stunning and all what prevent me from playing. But I'm SV hunter, its too late for them when they realize how good for me to come by my side for my polarm to strike 😂
We were always at odds in a 'friendly' rivalry sort of way in my guild. Rogues ruining feign death by vanishing on top of them... Hunters doing the same to rogues to ensure they died. Then there were fallings out... Then both classes got banned from raids until we sorted our shit out... Good times.
The worst are mobs that start to flee when on low health… and start pulling aggro from everywhere. Usually had to keep skills in reserve for when they start running to quickly put them down, making it take way longer to kill. It was either that or die to 27 mobs
@@zr_1234 cuz you dont wipe in Randoms at all, unlike Vanilla, Lich or BC. It doesnt matter if some hunt or lock aggroes trash with pet (which in detail, does not end in wipe) etc. You van pretty much complete party Finder without tank and/or heal.
@@zr_1234 the dark apsotle guy didnt really say the right thing. It doesnt happen anymore since you dont need to corpse run into the dungeon anymore. When you die you respawn at the Inside entrance of the dungeon.
Every other porting mechanism works. Monk, Hunter, Warrior, etc. Anyone still without one? But every little bump on the ground catches your port with a mage. How can they even port to a major city? There are whole mountains in between...

The most amazing part from the Kurzen is when you're fighting a non-medicine man, and then from nowhere you see a Renew animation on that one you're fighting. It starts to gradually heal up and then you notice somehow a medicine respawned behind you then it's all over. You just give up and run then come back with ten levels ahead just to wreck havoc on the place for pure sheer pleasure. These silk cloth has a double value than regular one.
The mage blink thing where you run past your blink then get ported back to where you were still happens in retail, except it's using a pathing thing now instead of straight up lag.
100% agree. The first was my favorit. So many areals with so many mobs and every single mob love to dismount you and slow. With 20m distance and most the first hit. Hate it.
there are so many ppl preparing for tbc that normal lvling is on par with p1 lvling and during prime times you cant even find mobs in places like stv, that is on golemag eu
you forgot the bloodscalp trolls in Stranglethorn; half of whom will insta net you and run back five feet. So if you end up in a fight with 3 or more they will keep you netted for hours on end!
Also the pally not popping a seal of justice with judgement of justice to stop the fleeing mob from fleeing. The amount of times I saved the group from a wipe with this is insane. Equally insane is how rarely I see other paladins use that in dungeons.
For anyone who doesn't know, you can los the mobs that the runners go to and they won't pull. The only time a mob can react to a runner is if they directly see you.
The worst part about Daze is when Daze is about to wear off but then the mob applies it again. I play with the pop-up text that displays things like entering/leaving combat and debuffs/buffs being applied/wearing off and the amount of times I see "[Daze] fades. [Daze.]" is agonizing. The fact that a max level player blazing a trail across a starter zone can be dismounted and slowed to a snail's pace by a level 4 wolf is beyond nonsensical.
I think there are some in wotlk as well,like falling in Dalaran and the bomber quest in Icecrown ,when the ship is destroyed and you fall in a middle of a wave of elites that gangbangs you in The Bombardment.Also,The Halls of Lightning mobs that always patroll in circles.
A work colleague of mine said after he came late to work that “a flat tire in the morning has to be the most annoying thing a person can experience” I asked “have you ever been dismounted?”

This might be a more personal thing but when your finger twitches and you accidentally walk forward one pixel and cancel the spell you were channeling.
Can relate to this, rerolled from paladin to a mage after spending hours leveling in the Kurzen Compound and all the people telling me ret pala sucks in vanilla, took a while to get used to blinking also lol.
You think that's bad? Try fighting those Kurzen medicine men while leveling as a holy paladin. I was able to solo the Mokk the Savage quest at the same level, but could not kill those kurzen healers until I out leveled them until they were green difficulty.

The NPC healing is so true. It's like when they made classes with slow attacks and extremely few instant damage abilities they didn't think for one second about NPCs that can heal themselves in less than 2 seconds. Or the other way around when they made the NPCs in question.

The rogue should have been: _Try to pickpocket some elite_ ... {Resist} _Try to save your life from the aggroed murderous elite_ ... {Vanish Fail, Blind Fail, Gouge Fail} ... _Try to run for your life with Sprint_ ... *get stunned* and you're dead LOL

I had a frost saber in winterspring that followed from the up far north region to the town...
