Think about taking a Vizsla. They need a lot of time, human contact. They are extremely fast, not getting tired to run. they need a job to do, and special gentle treatment. It's a very special dog, with the temperament of wild horses
How could one not love this dog?
We were foster parents for a Vizsla. Some woman was going to have her put down because she was moving into a condo that didn't allow dogs!!!! My mom worked with her and said, "No way!' She brought Silky home and we kept her until mom found a great home for her. Can you imagine putting a dog down for that kind of reason??? Anway, they are sweet and soft. There aren't many Vizslas in the US.

The same people that own a dog, bring said dog to an apartment, dog behaves like, well, a dog by barking and the owners have surgery done to the vocal chords so it weakens the bark. It makes me mad. It's like, what's the fucking point of owning a dog if you're not going to treat it like one? Humans don't deserve dogs, they are such beautiful creatures.
This bed, and your warmth, are as good as it gets.

I just can't believe he went back to bed! I've never seen a lazy vizsla before.
I have one visla and they really like to sleep and then to play. They are really active dogs
yeah that's pretty much how I react to my alarm every morning
I love how vocal my Vizsla is. He will do the same howl when he wants attention or when he becomes agitated (mostly due to not getting enough attention, for his standards). Vizslas are something else.
There is a different sound for everything!
I know you're not supposed to have dogs in the bed since that's sacred ground for the humans in the eyes of the dog, but man, Vizsla's make it damn hard to abide by that rule. Such good cuddle buddies.
It's the quiet grunting after the dog-eppy that is the most adorbs.

I was told Vizsla were quite 'vocal' dogs but mines nearly a year old and he's never made any noises like this, he hasn't barked in ages either, he isn't much of a talker as it turns out!
