This is the first of many videos covering the world and history of my upcoming Fire Emblem hack Andaron Saga.

@@samloyd9287 if I remember correctly, somewhere in early or mid 2022. Depends on how much there is going to be. Unless there’s will be a demo in the near future.

@@Zyaire286 you mean a prequel or a sequel? I'm going to love it either way, but after playing chapter 32 and seeing what happened to Amon, I'd rather see Amon's story than a prequel.
I suspect that many of these events are inspired by mythology and history. Neither side of the war was completely in the right, and there was no clear cut "good guys" or "bad guys." The lore of this game is shaping up nicely and neatly for a big conflict to happen. I'm excited to see what the son of the King will do when he arrives at the Dragon Kingdom.
(One of my favorite details about the map is that the house of pegasus knights is located on a mountain range.)
There is no heroes or villains. Only conflict.

A weak king on the throne along with plague and famine make for a rebellious cocktail. No doubt banditry had also increased as well. Eeesh.
@CaptainHeckYeah I wouldn't go that far. War of the Roses had players that had blood and familial ties to the throne. Andaron Saga has an outright usurper claiming the throne.
Its a lot of fun to go back and see how the different characters' portraits changed between this and the final release.
It sounds magnificent! No matter how long it takes I‘ll be waiting for this to come out! But... Is "The bow knights of house Ring" a reference to Genealogy where the father of Brigid and Edain, whose house is known for the "Beigeritter" (Bow Knights), is also named Ring?

There are many such references. I don't make it a secret that this world is heavily inspired by Jugdral.

I mean… when you think about it, was it really so stubborn for the king to press on with the siege of Holtmeier? It was already said that Thorgrim & Randall’s deaths would spell the end of the rebellion, and why would the king retreat back to the capital with his army when that would likely mean having to go through Alexander, who was already known to be on his way to aid the rebels with a sizeable force of his own?
Yeah, it didn’t work out for him in the end - he lost the battle - but if he DID manage to sack the city and kill Thorgrim before the Speargarden army got there, Alexander would’ve at least been easier to deal with.
Just wanted to say that it seemed like a tactically-sound decision to me. At least at the time 🤷🏻♂️

I am surprised that Angelus actually was part of the rebellion despite no one even remembering him 5 years later according to the game. I wonder if there's a reason for that, could he be part of some dark conspiracy which required to erase everyone's memories?
I'm hella late to this, but Klok (the game's writer) has said on stream that it was intended for Angelus to have had vivid visions of the rebellion, believing himself to have been a part of it. Angelus never was a part of it, he just had such frequent and vivid visions of the rebellion that he thought he had been there, which explains why nobody remembers him but he knows all about them. None of this is explained in game, but it's one of many plot threads that Klok wasn't able to fully explore due to rom and time limitations. If you're interested in seeing more of Klok's vision of how the story of Andaron Saga should've gone, he's remaking the game with an overhauled story under the title "Andaron New Dawn." Information for it is typically posted in the Andaron Saga discord, and the stream I mentioned earlier also has a ton of documentation for what he's setting out to do.
This war and Baudimon's shenanigans are worthy of its own game, damn. If this is the kind of thing you put in the backstory, I can't wait to see what goes down in the actual hack.

@@randomuser5663 It was some art that egg showed on the birthday stream near the end. There was some artwork of Baudimon (the main lord) holding a white haired girl in his arms.
I can definitely see them getting married and ending the conflict.

Genealogy is by far my favorite FE game and I'm glad to see that the story of this hack is greatly inspired by it, I really get that same feel that made me love FE4. I can see a lot of history/mythology references as well which I really like too. Can't wait to see more egg, I'm definitely gonna give it a try when it'll eventually come out, loving the lore so far !

@@Mangs1337 The rebellion, it's a treason against the current kingdom; What was Thorgrim's motivation? The fact the king was weak, negligent? Or Thorgrim was an ambitious man and just wanted power? Or is it something we shouldn't know, hence you didn't talk about that? And thanks for the reply, I didn't really expect that 😅

This is probably the most anticipated I've felt for something like this. I love how you showed the key parts of the rebellion and used the portraits to better tell the story. I can't wait for this to happen.

I know obviously since this is a fantasy world terminological accuracy is irrelevent, but for the record, in real life the adjective form of "Styx" is "Stygian". It can still be "Styxian" in your hack though.

Now this looks epic. I cannot wait for this to come out, especially cause there isn’t any news on a new fe. Funny to think that this is now my most anticipated game for this year!
So basically we are following the middle son. It looks like the eldest will succeed the throne, but I have a sneaking suspicion, Mr Thorgrimm has other plans in mind. The Eldest definitely won't be happy with this, and thus we have a possibility of a betrayal in the works.
The dragons will definitely be an obstacle, but I think the House that stayed neutral might be the final obstacle in the story unless the foreshadowing was all a ruse.
It's looking pretty interesting so far.

From the moment i saw the map..i made a guess about the story and the potential that the continent had for story telling... i was wrong. This is much much rich than i had expected. Great job Mangs and his team for making this!.

As far as names go for the nations: I like Ashburn and Speargarden. The rest are a little hokey and I hope you don't have your heart set on those names. Darkholm almost works but "Dark Forest" really brings down the prestige in the name and I would suggest calling the region "Darkholm Wood" or "Darkholm Hollow" to make the name sound cooler.
A lot of these names are subject to change.

This story is great, I really want to know what happens next. Is it going to be like FE7 and have a prologue like Lyn's giving you a few chapters to build up your starting party before the main conflict? This story feels like it needs the prologue with the second son.
Mangs streamed Chapter 1 last week, though I went through and rewrote the dialogue based on viewer feedback.

Firstly, I love this. Gives me those same epic fantasy politics vibes that I got from LotR and GoT.
I know the portraits are a work in progress, but I do have some suggestions. I really like how the Houses have defined palettes and how the family members share a hair colour. Really adds to the realism and coherent world-building. I do, however, think that maybe hair colour should be a bit more variable between members (different shades and hues of red for e.g.) to help distinguish the members. Right now it seems very uniform to my 'first-impressioned' eyes. Same base colour ties them together, but variations distinguish them and make them more memorable. Obviously, this isn't a blanket rule though.
Also, idk what it is but I LOVE Randal's portrait. So excited for more lore! Can't wait for when this hack releases! Keep up the great work!
Finaly a proper backstory, let's see how it will evolve.
This is such a cool idea, it makes the game feel as if it wont just be some game with a rather lacking story, and forgettable characters, this shits connected.
I also loved the Noble Houses from FE4 so to see a resemblance of this brings me joy, this looking phenomenal already.
I can fill it fe4 Climate and this is good.
And gameplay question is gonna be legendary Weapons lockedbto Enemies like vaiaflame and mjohirn in fe4
