thank you so much for posting this video, I've struggled with this song for quite a while, but still have issues. Seeing you play it really helps tremendously.
I’m hooked - just watched the clip from the original cartoon. I skated from the age of 4 and it made me want to hit the ice! I’d break my neck now but I’m off to have a go at the tune. X
The double thirds are better played starting on the 1-3 then 2-4 …1-3 --then bring the 2-4 over - followed by 3-5…2-4. … then 1-3…2-4 and so on. This is because the hand should “drop” on to the first note of the section and this is awkward if we land land on the 2-4 which then has to follow on to the 3-5.. The action requires a rotation of the forearm and wrist which is more extreme on the 2-4…3-5 and therefore not as stable for the “drop” on the strong first beat. Of course, if you practice the not so good fingering enough times and you have enough talent then this will work and will then actually be easier than the ‘best’ fingering. !! I love your videos. BTW..
Hi Colleen, first we don't have any orders under that name. Please send an inquiry to info@jazzmentl.com For the other videos I will post the links here. 2nd Tutorial here: th-cam.com/video/cbMXGtHZu-Y/w-d-xo.html and some soloing ideas here: th-cam.com/video/u0UyUqyGQWI/w-d-xo.html
@@Jazzmentl yea it’s such a holiday icon to this day. I love the Charlie Brown Christmas movie and album. I can play a few of the Christmas tunes but I am about to start looking at skating. I can do a few parts of it. I have played guitar and piano for about 30 years and TH-cam tutorials have got me playing better than ever. I also play bass and drums as well. I can’t imagine life without music. Especially in the dark world we live in these days.
@@kingsecho3351 You sound very self-disciplined. I'm sure you'll have a blast with it. Re: dark world...Nancy and I gave up watching TV all together. Cancelled our subscriptions to cable TV. I monitor a tiny bit of FB and Insta for business, but gave most of that up too. I keep my head down and play. That's my happy place too.

It’s crazy how Vince Guaraldi didn’t consider himself to be a great piano player
And Charles Schulz didn't even like jazz! But when he heard Guaraldi's ideas for the Peanuts music, he went with it regardless. Now it's timeless....
