Same here. My first Stones tour was Voodoo Lounge. My parents took me with their friends. It was the first time I had ever seen a grown man literally unzip his pants and start pissing at his seat.
When Mick says "This is even worse than last time", I bet he's referring to the SNL rehearsals in 1978 when Akryoyd did an announcement for them over the PA.
And if exile is their best album, and if Rocks Off is the best song on that album, by default would this mean this is their best song? I would have to agree with you
Mick is no puny human, he is a god. He just doesn't talk about his god-like powers in front of his friends, between that and Keith's immortality itwould make Ron and Charlie feel inferior.
They sound real good here; Ronnie's guitar is where it belongs. But there was a quite a stretch of tours where they mixed him out; or very low, in the actual show.
@@petermills542 'The B2B tours, and the NS tour too. We used to talk about it a lot , back when we were still trading boots. I think even on this VL tour they had him him further down.
It would be even better if he dressed in black denim and a white t-shirt. No bullshit. Just a straight rock and roll look with a leather jacket if it gets cold.
@@MattSmith-iq1ld I like this look, he grow up and don't try to look like if he was a teenager rocker night and day at 50 years it's good for Keith and Ron.
My dad took me to this show when I was 12 years old. 2 row. Can you imagine seeing the stones up close at 12 . I was never the same
Same here man, i was 11 watching them in Sweden at the live licks tour. Best start musicaly and mentaly i cuold ever get!

Wow they sound so good in this rehearsal ,
Saw em in '19 & they were still killin it.
Agreed
Agreed! 😎
The Rolling Stones are so great, they have been through so much, I guess didn't realize how much, but I do now more. Happy Easter to you all💛

mick doesnt suffer any fools 😂
best song on exile

@@robertsloan9284From a logical standpoint, not necessarily. But it happens to be the case hahah
Fantastic tour.
The greatest rock and roll band ever.
Crazy thing to say when the Beatles exist
Not even a close second.
@@pe-peron8441Beatles were not really rock and roll though
Best Stones's tour ever since seventies tours.
1:23 simple Keith riff groove (but oh so cool)
I remember this❤
Charlie is unusually good here...the kind of groove and feel he used to lay down back in the glory days.
Charlie had a great timing and Sound at that time. Never nailed it like this later.
Muy god ...so perfect
Great job Roberto!!
Definitely the best show (VooDoo Lounge) of the 10x I've seen them! Awesome!
Dio mío. ..buono sound
1:15 Lisa in the groove
Lisa couldn't never be replaced actualy
High Grade RnR right there!

Keith's later day peak is 1994 imo. He's soberer and his playing is more articulate.
Aykroyd and Jagger together again!

Name one of these Tours.!!!??

Where is this?
Great version. Too bad they cut it off.
Proves mick should stop running around so much. In the early seventies he used to stand still and dance lol

Weird when sound checks like this are more genuine than the shows.
Danny Boy!
True to Exile but Mick always has a problem with the change of key in vocals....
Keith sang the high harmony on the record, which Lisa was singing over there on the side, but her volume was too low in the mix.
Why is Dan Akroyd so seriues?
Nice video. Get rid of Akroyd.
I literally didn’t even realize that was him ha
kick his butt of the damn stage
Why ? , he shows great interest in the band and ask good questions about the harmonica playing
Danny wouldn't be there if the Stones didn't want him there.
Danny is great, idk what you're talking about.
Not one of Dans better material
pure cringe
Truly awful
