Alex was a product of a Bravo that wasn’t afraid to cast people who were eccentric. I miss it!
That was the thing about her that i loved though, she was “eccentric,” but she wasn’t rude or stuck up like mary cosby or carlton from rhobh, she was just her weird self! and i loved it. 🩵
Honestly, Alex said things to Jill that we'd all end up agreeing with. Alex being called weird by Kelly is ludicrous. Most of them was condescending to her.
Kelly calling Alex weird is genuinely comical.

Call me crazy, but Alex is one of my favorite RHONY Housewives. I loved how sensible she was. And when she finally came out of her shell in Season 3, it was such a breath of fresh air. I miss her
True! I also loved her. She was always more mature and articulated than the rest of the cast. However, the other ladies were all about being flashy and labels, and really didn't allow her to shine. But, gosh, every time she took the spotlight, she savaged.

I'm sooooo here for this Alex McCord Renaissance!! She's finally getting the respect she deserved. You go, girl.
She and Simon were super awkward and weird early on but then it slowly dawned on you that they were pretty rational, intelligent and level-headed.
Alex was the poorest, least connected and the youngest in the group. She was an easy target for the other girls, but I think she did a pretty good job navigating her way through the group dynamics. She actually was incredibly perceptive and usually when the dust settled, on the right side of conflicts tbh.
She was the Carole of Seasons 1-4. Honestly people overlook her but every cast needs an Alex to counterbalance the Ramonas of the world.

True! And I love them both. Honestly, the Theresas and Ramonas of the world often feel tired once you see the two tricks, cartwheels and meltdowns they can perform. I prefer much more the Caroles, Alexes, Garcelles and Eileens, who can go into spats without loosing their temper.
Noooooo Carole was always very cool and self aware. Alex had little self awareness and was fundamentally dorky.

*I learned to really like Alex and Simon. They raised two great sons. They are still happily married and doing well. She wasn't a good fit for that lot.* 💗💗
One missed moment is her discussion with Sonja, following her around her house and having little quarrels in EVERY SINGLE ROOM of that house. Oh, gosh. 🤣🤣🤣

Whenerver someone tells me Alex is his favourite housewife from RHONY, I know they are serious fans of the show. Only hardcore fans we acknowledge her.
Alex was the best of the O.G Housewives, the other women were relentless in trying to bring her down by bullying her... I do love that in her final two seasons she just went for it and gave them a strong dosage of their own medicine

I loved Alex. She was very intelligent. Yes, she was a social climber, but ironically seemed to be one of the most rational people on the show. Now she's a psychologist and her husband is a lawyer. Well done!
The women bullied Alex all the time. Jill, Luann, Ramona, and Kelly saw her and her husband as posers and beneath them so they disrespected, dismissed, and gaslit her all the time.

LuAnn is awful IRL. She grew up lower middle class in upstate Connecticut & was actually a nurse before she got with ‘the count.’ I was college friends with her niece& she couldn’t STAND her. Said she was a drunk mess lol

Alex is an underrated OG!! Between Luann’s Countess era to Jill’s thirst wanting to be the star to Ramona being Ramona to Bethenny’s underdog success story, Alex is often forgotten about by Housewives fans. She may not the most excited nor memorable Housewife, but she was rational, sophisticated, level headed, and was the “normal” one.
I was a huge Alex fan lol I cried when she and her fam moved to Australia 😂😂😂😂😂

if Alex still lived in NY she would have been brought back for a season the way OC brought back Lydia. Probably the season after Carol but before Leah. She's actually a fantastic character unlike Lydia.
I love how Kelly is always talking about how awful bullying is but she constantly bullies Alex about her rashes. It's so awful it's so high school and she should be ashamed of herself. Kelly is the most non self-aware person I've ever seen. And she seems like a simpleton I don't know how she got a college degree she must be very good at memorizing s*** and writing it back down because she cannot have that many i independent intellectual thoughts.❤
I did not like Alex the first season but I think I was just taking her wrong. She actually to this day is still one of my all time favorite housewives.
