This drama was so dark and compelling - and even the palette was mainly grey and white... So watching this made me laugh with the cast and brought some relief to the heavy story.

@@rosean374 That's probably a good idea - although I do recommend watching it when you're in a better frame of mind. There's not much comedy relief (if at all), but there's definitely lots of food for thought - and this is a short series.
Just finished binge watching it and THAT IS AN AMAZING KDRAMA AAAA the acting the plot the ost everything is on point bae Doona and gong yoo never disappoint

Kim Sun-young is a stellar actor who has an incredible body of work. She transforms effortlessly with every
character and has you believing everything she portrays.
Bae Doona is so still and present that you are compelled to follow her every performance, she is fearless.
Gong Yoo also has a stillness and depth that he displays with all his characters that takes you into his heart
and you just want to stay there with him. He really has a gravitas on screen that just pulls you in.
Lee Mu-saeng and Lee Joon and all the cast are also excellent in their roles.
I agree,Bae Doona was incredible in Sense8.She is masterful,and Gong Yoo has always an air of a gentleman 👏 🙌 And Sun Young transforms herself for each role,and she's played everything!! Looking forward to seeing more of Moo Saeng and Lee Joon,and I'm loving catching up on older shows these guys have been in. Thanks kdramas!!

I thought Doona had a river inside her with the way she cried on cam, it's amazing. She is a phenomenal actress that never fails to captivate the audience with her talent, beauty and charm. I love Doona babe!
Bae Doona is a wonderful actress but she has one fundamental flaw: She can play dark, brooding emotionally disturbed characters or totally hardcore badass fighters but the second she smiles all that goes away because her smile is SOOOO SWEEEET.
Well shouldn't this be her strength and not flaw?

The Silent Sea has really an interesting plot and every episode is superb to the point I have finished everything in one-sitting even though I told myself to watch until Episode 4 for the day. Congratulations! Waiting for Season 2!

Go watch "Descendants of the Sun". One of Korea's most iconic Kdrama, starring megastar Song Joongki. It's on Netflix. She play a supportive role of a North Korean village headman and thoroughly nailed it.
Anything with Gong Too is amazing...this drama is one his best - Silent sea is really ingenious ...recommend it.
The series was amazing. I started out alone but one by one each one of my family memebers joined me as the first ep got them totally hooked😂. And its rare for them to join since they always tease me for watching kdramas so props to the cast and the writers and the directors and all of the team members for making this amazing series in which every moment was full of suspense and got us hooked till the last minute❤️

i sure hope they’d release a full version of all these behind clips they used in this vid, they rly seemed to have such a fun time playing with each other between filming and it’s such a refreshing change from the dark and gloomy atmosphere of the actual show that you can’t help but want to see more

The cast is truly amazing. I enjoyed The Silent Sea so much. The creative team is brilliant too. I love that it's slow-paced, but the suspense was insane. I hope The Swoon did more segments with them~ and we want longer behind-the-scenes, please~ need to see those skits and Jung Woosung cleaning the Moon. Hahaha.

The first few scenes were like ASMR in the Silent Sea, it really holds up to its title "Silent" but you can feel the impact in their acting. Many people complain about the pacing but for me I actually liked how it went from building up the mystery to uncovering the secrets. I have always been a fan of thriller genre's that are fast paced but here in The Silent Sea, the pacing definitely fits the plot and I liked it. There was nothing wrong with the pacing at all at least for me.
Said for the millionth time but the cinematography was outstanding felt like I was there with them!! The acting was superb

Loved the series! Finished all eps in 1 sitting, so gr8 timing of releasing on a holiday!. Got hooked on the storyline, but found some scenes to be a bit ridiculous and could be shortened. All the casts bring their A game and after watching this, I understand why.
Kinda disappointed there was not a alien or something. But alas, that would have been unrealistic.

fr I love this cast tho, Bae Doona was in one of my favorite films where I first watched her, Kim Sunyoung is everywhere and she always delivers, and Gong Yoo of course and then you have Lee Mu-Saeng who was also my favorite character in Designated Survivor and can't forget Lee Joon (ohh my A+ heart, been with him since MBLAQ days.)

Even though they kept it light and laughed a lot, it does not detract from the fact that these are very talented actors, great at their craft. As a Gong Yoo fan- I got into k-drama after Coffee Prince- really want to see this. Discovered some new actors- especially Bae Doona whose work I have not had the opportunity to come across. This was fun.
