Pete, 8000 people is wild to think about. That will be approximately be 2400 crew members (based on same math as other ships) so more than 10,000 people to get off if there’s an emergency and let’s not think about 10,000 people to pass on sickness! That it is hard to imagine! When we did the Mardi Gras we had 5000 since it was after Covid and that pizza, deli, and guest services line was CRAZY!!! Why do they have to be so greedy to do this instead of making a 2000 or 3000 passenger ship with all updated venues?

I forgot, are you going to perfect day? I purchased tickets to Hideaway Beach just because the Utopia was going to be there when I’m going to be there on the Celebrity in November and I didn’t want to have to try to fight for an area without kids.
It really crazy to think of that many people! The ships are filled the way they are now I feel like the staff is already overworked! Which ship are you going on in November?

Just saw a video that a women on TikTok waited an hour for pizza at midnight…. Don’t know how they expect to add more people to these ships…

the ports sound like they need to hire employees, im sure there are many who need jobs. they need more single rooms on ships. as long as the prices are affordable, i dont care.
The ships are just too big for the smaller ports. Especially when more than one is scheduled 😅
We need new smaller ships!! The small ships are out dated and eventually will not be in service.
on these "behemoth" ships, wouldnt it be great if you could bring your own jetskis or bicycles on as baggage to use in port?

The 3 new ships are a new class, not XL class. They have 2 new XL class coming out in ‘27 and ‘28. The new class will come out in ‘29, ‘31 and ‘33 and will be 230,000 tons, 50,000 tons larger than the XL class. Basically between Symphony OTS and Wonder OTS in size.
Ahhh I see some of the newer information has changed a bit! At the time of making this video, the information was all over the place! So I see now... 2 more xl class ships and then 3 brand new class!? Insane
8,000 as a raw number sounds crazy! However if you consider double occupancy in rooms like family harbor, suites, maybe a new room class maybe the number doesn’t sound so crazy.
Haha, I agree, buttttt... the reason it sounds so outrageous to me is that the other ships in its class dont come close to that number 😅
